"Little Acorns Montessori School is a privately owned pre-school based in the Old Schoolhouse on Chapel Hill in Monkstown. The service provides morning and afternoon sessional programmes for children who participate in the Early Childhood Care and Education Programme. Two practitioners provide a pre-school programme for a maximum of twenty-eight children per day, seventeen children in the morning and eleven in the afternoon. Department of Education and Skills Report published December 2017 scored Little Acorns good or very good under all headings. Some observations in the report were: "A caring ethos, with a warm welcoming atmosphere, is evident." "The practitioners demonstrate sensitivity and positive regard for the children and their families." "Practitioners model and provide guidance and encouragement for positive behaviour." "A broad variety of opportunities are provided to bring the families and the setting together.""

"My little boy has attended Cuala for the last 2 yrs. He has absolutely loved every minute of it. He has learned so much and come on leaps and bounds. Audrey, Eunice and Sandra are fantastic teachers. We are going to miss them in September when Liam starts primary. Thanks again everyone."
