"We love Oakview Montessori! I'm a parent of 6 children, and 3 of them were lucky enough to be with Mrs. Alyce. (My older 3 attended a total of three other Montessori schools, all good, but Oakview was the best by far.) Here are a couple of the things I particularly love about Oakview Montessori: 1. The primary teacher, Mrs. Alyce, is a perfect mix of top teacher and grandmother. She has the warmest way. It's like hospitality is her middle name. Yet nothing gets by her watchful eyes. She's seen it all and knows how to deal with it kindly, gently and fairly. 2. Class size is crazy small, so personalized attention is a constant. 3. The setting (in a home) is warm, inviting, and yet this school is probably better set up than any other school my children attended or that I visited over the years. 4. Mrs. Alyce is organized and has the annual calendar down to a science. Field trips, family events (such as the annual Yule Log Hunt in the Morton Arboretum) and summer camp all run smoothly, efficiently and they're top notch events. 5. And lastly, I found my children made great friends here. (And I did too!) Over the years I've learned that the leadership of a place always affects the experiences there. Mrs. Alyce's competent, calm, loving ways permeate the entire atmosphere at Oakview Children's House. And that's something that can't be bought or trained, etc. It's a real gift..."

"I can't say enough good things about Nature Preschool! This nature-based preschool is a true gem. From the moment we enrolled our child, we noticed a remarkable difference in his enthusiasm for learning and love for the outdoors. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to blend academic learning with hands-on exploration of nature, which is both engaging and educational. The teachers (particularly Mr. Aarti, the director) are incredibly passionate and nurturing, fostering a sense of curiosity and wonder in the children. They make each day exciting with outdoor adventures, nature crafts, yoga, and interactive lessons that connect kids with their environment. It’s clear that they genuinely care about each child's development and well-being. Our son has moved on to Kindergarten and one month later, still misses everything about Nature school! If you’re looking for a preschool that encourages a love for nature and supports holistic development, Nature Preschool is the place to be. We are grateful for the wonderful experience and highly recommend it to other families."

"Our child attended CCMS for 3 years. The quality of the school staff members is excellent. They effectively manage school programming, parent concerns, safety issues, and a never-ending list of important administrative tasks. The teachers execute exciting and educational programming while establishing tender and loving relationships with the kids. Whenever we had a concern with our child, their teacher was a valuable resource in providing advice and feedback. CCMS provided a wonderful learning environment for my child that, in my opinion, is wholly attributable to the high quality of the staff and their programming."

"After a couple of decades living elsewhere, we returned to Western Maryland, specifically so that our kids could have the value of this unique approach to education. Everything about the experience - the teachers, the environment, the students - was exactly the right fit for our family. It was the best five years for our kids, and we hope that one day the school will expand to include middle and high school in this style, because the primary, kindergarten, and elementary experience for our kids is something they will take with them through their entire lifetime of learning. I should also mention that one of my children is on the autism spectrum, while the other is an accelerated learner. Because their brilliant teacher(s) treated them both with the perfect ratio of special attention / just like everyone else, they continue to thrive now in a larger public school environment."
