"I cannot recommend our son's Montessori school, Starwood Academy, highly enough. From the moment he stepped into the classroom at just 4 months old, we knew he was in the right place. The mixed-age classrooms fostered an environment where language development soared, thanks to interaction with older peers. The diversity of the school enriched his learning experience, exposing him to different cultures and perspectives. One of the most remarkable aspects of the Montessori approach is the emphasis on allowing children to learn at their own pace and readiness. Our son flourished under this philosophy, gaining confidence as he tackled new challenges and explored his interests independently. The freedom to move around the classroom was crucial for a child his age, allowing him to stay engaged and focused. The classroom guide played a pivotal role in our son's development, even assisting with potty training. From a young age, he impressed others with his advanced language skills and well-developed sequence skills. This is a testament to the nurturing and supportive environment provided by the school. As circumstances beyond our control necessitate a transition to another school, we are filled with gratitude for the staff and their intentional work. Our son's time at Starwood has set a strong foundation for his future learning and growth. We will always cherish the memories and the impact this school has had on our family."

"My kids are students at this school, and have been for the past 5 years. As a family we really love the school, its environment, the faculty, curriculum, administration and the parents who send their children to this school. We had visited several Montessori before we decided to join MHFC. We really enjoy the atmosphere that promotes learning, lot of social interactions between kids and the many events for parents to interact, which promotes a very family like environment. I have and will highly recommend the school to anyone interested in enrolling their child in a Montessori program."

"As a father, seeing my son thrive at Genstar Montessori has been an incredibly rewarding experience. When he first joined the school, he was shy and unsocial, having struggled to find his place or interest in academics at his previous Montessori school. But under the care and guidance of Ms. Tima and Ms. Valar, everything has changed for the better. The play-oriented learning approach at Genstar has been a game-changer for Alex. He now has a genuine interest in letters and numbers, he’s mastered his shapes, loves learning about the differences in animals and plants—all while having fun! "For the past 6 years, Meadow Montessori School has trained and educated all our three children. I have friends whose kids attend other schools and the difference is like day and night. I love their focus on the development of each student in the class. Also, the school is very accomodating and allowed all our kids in the same class. The teacher is Ms. Jen and she's an excellent teacher, can't ask for more. She's detail, knows and understands the children. Her excellent work with our children gave them an excellent childhood education and it currently reflects in their primary education. If you want an excellent childhood education for your children, then look no further. This is the best Montessori school in the Richmond area."
