"Attentive and caring staff and administration. They are very communicative and always have the children's best interest at heart. In my opinion they are always going above and beyond. Highly recommend this school."

"This school endangers children! The administration and teachers handle dangerous situations horrendously. Putting your child in this school is dangerous! This school should be shut down!"

"As I can't leave this review directly for the Rye Brook location I will leave it here since it's the same management. I left a very detailed Yelp review, but bottom line is I agree with previous posts in that management seems to only care about money as the disrespect and poor communication I received as a parent must be the same level the teachers receive. I truly could sense the micromanagement and experienced the lack of communication between the Director and teacher. My son had a poor time transitioning in and they pretty much left it up to me to reach out and do something about it. Nice outdoor space, nice new toys in new building with fun ways to recognize holidays, but that was it. Left after 3-4 months. As a first time parent this was more costly and stressful than what was actually needed especially during a pandemic."

"Our daughter has gone here for over a year now starting when she was a year and a half. We especially love the design of the classrooms, indoor and outdoor areas and even the hallways. It’s in true Reggio style with lots of natural elements, beautiful colors and textures with tons of invitation for open ended, child led play. The teachers have always been very caring and thoughtful, and at this age there’s still daily photos and updates on snack/lunch and potty time/diapers. Of note, I was curious as to why BJS had only 4/5 stars and most of the negative reviews are from many years ago. There are more breaks and holidays where there’s no class during the year than I’d prefer but I’d still absolutely recommend BJS as much as any other Waldorf or Montessori style center."
