"My daughter was out of there due to 2 times of head injuries in one year, both times bloody cuts. first time head cut got glued up. second time more serious got staples. 1-2 yr old place is better due to larger room. 2-4 yr old places are very crowded. Also very tiny back yard. Went there due to closeness to work. Now look back should have been out of there at 2 yr old."

"Gloryland Montessori School is the best School you can send your kids to. They have a very loving & caring staff. The director, a very hardworking lady ensures orderliness & treats everyone equally irrespective of who you are. There is time for everything here which makes it unique. We had to book an appointment to tour the facility which shows an organized setting, I was impressed. My kid who is in his first year of life enjoys going to school and has never come home with any form of infection which was what I was skeptical about when I initially planned enrolling him into a daycare program. They have a safe & fun learning environment. Gloryland School is also known for their cleanliness and regular sanitization of their environment, hence your kids are really safe here, I know this because my kid is here and doing very well. I highly recommend Gloryland school to all parents who are in search of a school for their kids."

"Jun 2024 update: (In Progress) Jan 2024: Post COVID review. Our little one has gone to this school starting in the Nido (starting around 8 months), Toddler community (1-2yrs), and now Children's House (3-6yrs). What stood out to us about WMS is that the school is heavily invested in your child's development for the long term. Unlike a lot of other nurseries/preschools that end at 4 or 5 years old, WMS operates under the assumption that your child could stay until the are 12. The head of the school is a parent herself and imo is dedicated, compassionate and no-nonsense. Pros and cons (depending on everyone's different perspective): + Sense of community. A handful of teachers are parents to kids that go to the school themselves. There are opportunities to volunteer at the school (ex. library), social events, parenting classes (ex. positive parenting, gentle potty training). + Diversity/Language. The school cares heavily about DEI and fostering a diverse community both culturally and social-economically (there is financial aid). -/+ Low tech. WMS uses transparent classroom for photos/individual student progress, phone calls, emails, "Signup Genius". They will accept email attachment or paper forms. In person meetings needs to be scheduled over email. A virtual calendar was just created (6.2024) and being managed by a mom. There is a WhatsApp group for parents to connect but there isn't a direct/app/text access to the teachers for easy back and forth communication. The pro side to this is that you know that the teachers aren't being pinged by potentially 40+ other parents. +/- Very Montessori-focused. A lot of time and money spent on adhering to the Montessori philosophy and the school is working on getting fully certified. If your child thrives with unstructured play and you cringe at the words "work cycle" then the school may not be the best fit =).. -/+ Schedule/Cost. Because it is also an Elementary school, WMS abides by DOE standards (this means there are a LOT of days off throughout the school year). On the positive side, some guides/floaters offer babysitting which is amazing because they already have a connection with your child and you feel safe that your little one is being looked after by a someone who is already vetted and qualified."

"Thank you, Guidepost, for providing a welcoming, nurturing, and safe learning environment for our mighty boy! Being first-time parents (Mom with a background in research), we did our fair share of homework before choosing Guidepost and we are so grateful to have found the perfect community for our son. ***We commute 30 minutes each way, Monday – Friday.*** Below are a few items specific to Guidepost Burr Ridge, that we appreciate and make a significant difference to our family and just a few reasons why we HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Guidepost Burr Ridge Community for your “Littles”. STAFF: We love the staff, as mentioned earlier every staff member we have encountered has been uber welcoming, nurturing, supportive and communicative. Ms. Nery his lead teacher is very communicative, attentive, and loving and the same holds true for his class Guides (Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Jelena). But more importantly our son FEELS SAFE in their care! 😊 TRANSPARENT APP: - DAILY ACTIVITY TRACKER- Provides a glance of Meals and Toileting activities throughout the day. Informs us on what he ate (Health-Conscious Organic Meals) and how many times his diaper was changed as well as how many times he attempted to use the potty. (Love that they are prepping him for this transition) - DAILY PHOTOS – The staff shares photos throughout each day highlighting the different activities that he participated in. We love seeing the work cycles and his development overall. This also helps Mom/ Dad’s emotional health throughout the day 😊 COMMUNITY EVENTS: The staff is great at hosting "Free" events. They recently hosted a Fall Fair (After School Hours) that included a petting zoo, pony rides, pumpkin painting amongst other nice age-appropriate activities."
