"If I could give 20 stars, I would! My daughter has been in Alka (San Jose location) since Spring. The school is very spacious, clean and airy, with many areas for children to explore and practice the Montessori activities. After lunch the children take a nap in special cots that my daughter finds very comfortable, she sleeps very well.The outdoor play area is also spacious and has some fun play structures. The vibe in the school is industrious and peaceful at the same time, children are always doing something, and interacting with each other and the teachers, but the environment is peaceful and quiet, excellent to focus. When my daughter started she had very bad stranger anxiety and I was worried whether she would warm up to the teachers or not. Oh my! The teachers (Miss Usha and Miss Cheyenne, especially, since Miss Radha joined later) showed unbelievable patience, understanding and compassion towards my daughter, and let her do her preferred activities during the first few days until she developed confidence and trust in them. They gave me regular updates and were flexible to accommodate as many changes as they could so my child would feel safe and cared for as soon as possible. The teachers are the true soul of the school. Miss Usha, Miss Cheyenne and Miss Radha treat the children with such care, love and compassion that even the most stranger-anxious adapt within a few days and become part of the gang. Miss Alka visits the school so often that my daughter greets her as if she was another teacher! She observes the children, is in constant contact with the teachers, and always has a helpful suggestion to tackle problems. I feel so grateful for the Alka Montessori community for all they have done for my daughter, and look forward to see her thrive in this environment."

"This place is a true blessing! From the owner to the teachers, everyone is whole heatedly dedicated in childcare and truly passionate about their work. My son started here 3 months ago and we’ve seen a tremendous change in everything in a positive way that only shows the love, attention and care he is getting at the academy. A place where children can thrive and explore their abilities. Love love love everyone there and grateful for the bond my son has created with the teachers. 😊"
