"If you're here because you're curious about if Montessori is right for your child, this is your sign that CMS is a school you should very seriously consider. I was a student here back in the early 00s, from 1st-6th grade, and I can honestly say that CMS was the catalyst for a lifetime of joy of learning. Many of my most cherished memories come from my time at CMS: learning long division with the "racks and tubes" in lower elementary; tracing the chronology of our history on the timeline of life; presenting a research project on stars in upper elementary. At CMS, I learned more than just math facts and how to write an essay--I learned how to be responsible for my own learning and how to nurture meaningful relationships with my teachers and peers. I have now returned to the CMS community as an adult and have found that the school's commitment to its students and to the Montessori approach has not wavered. CMS is the real deal - the Montessori education is authentic and empowering, and the staff care a tremendous amount about the students and the school's mission. If it's not already, CMS should be on your short list of great options for your child."

"It’s not a stretch to say that this school, and it’s leadership has been our rock for the last four years. Experience, my children have had here is arguably the most important and foundational learning that they have had in their lives. So grateful for this place!"

"I have thoroughly enjoyed having my daughter at Montessori! She LOVES going to “school” and she has ever since infancy! She has learned amazing motor skills, songs, and such great positive behavior. The teachers have been so helpful and sweet and treat my daughter with great respect. I plan to keep her there as long as possible and bring our second baby there. I couldn’t imagine a better environment for my kids."

"Our daughter started at Montessori when she was 3 years old and loved the entire program. As parents it was awesome to witness her progress in social skills, learning and development. All her teachers shared a special bond with her and she made friends with classmates really quick. The Montessori program fosters a learning mindset and the staff at the Crescent location were outstanding. We really appreciated the skills and encouraging environment they created. Their app is very user friendly and the school did a great job explaining all logistical/school updates."

"Six years ago, my husband and I were first time parents unsure of what to do about childcare. We both grew up in small towns where we went to in-home daycares with the town grandma, who'd taken care of kids for generations. We had no idea choosing Primrose Lafayette would be one of the best decisions we made in those early years. The first few weeks after dropping our one year old off, I sat in the parking lot and cried--worrying if he was okay, worrying if the teachers would understand and love him. If I could only go back and tell myself I'd have nothing to worry about-- that he would be cherished, loved, supported, and encouraged to be his true self by every single teacher there. Within a year, we added our second son and both of them attended Primrose Lafayette through the pandemic, and graduated from Jr. Kindergarten--- more than ready for the transition to Kindergarten. We feel so lucky that our kids went here. Each teacher had their own unique way of caring about the kids, and our kids learned something from each one and felt a genuine connection with each of their teachers. The rare occurrences when we had an issue arise, we felt completely comfortable reaching out to their teachers and management; and felt heard and supported. During the pandemic, they stayed open and were in constant communication with families about the changing protocols, and were as flexible as they could be. There was turnover at times, but nothing that seemed like a red flag--childcare is a tough job and people move on. Their Junior Kindergarten program (aka preschool) was incredible -- they transitioned into uniforms and into a classroom with an experienced teacher (we loved Ms. Ivonne!) who knows what she's doing. At first, I was hesitant about the uniforms and more structure to their days, but both of our kids thrived in that learning environment-- and learned their letters, how to write, were introduced to Spanish, social emotional learning, and so much more. Bonus for parents-- their hours at 7:30-5:30 for all ages and stages (including preschool). Having moved out of state and away from our families, we didn't know how much we needed a place like Primrose Lafayette. Where our kids were safe, loved, supported, understood, challenged, and part of a community. They met their first best friends there, they walked through the halls-- confident in who they are and with a sense of belonging to a community. The teachers there provided them with the love and nurturing that all kids deserve. We are so grateful for all our time there and Primrose --and all the people there-- will always hold a special place in our hearts."
