Starwood Academy of Frisco

I cannot recommend our son's Montessori school, Starwood Academy, highly enough. From the moment he stepped into the classroom at just 4 months old, we knew he was in the right place. The mixed-age classrooms fostered an environment where language development soared, thanks to interaction with older peers. The diversity of the school enriched his learning experience, exposing him to different cultures and perspectives. One of the most remarkable aspects of the Montessori approach is the emphasis on allowing children to learn at their own pace and readiness. Our son flourished under this philosophy, gaining confidence as he tackled new challenges and explored his interests independently. The freedom to move around the classroom was crucial for a child his age, allowing him to stay engaged and focused. The classroom guide played a pivotal role in our son's development, even assisting with potty training. From a young age, he impressed others with his advanced language skills and well-developed sequence skills. This is a testament to the nurturing and supportive environment provided by the school. As circumstances beyond our control necessitate a transition to another school, we are filled with gratitude for the staff and their intentional work. Our son's time at Starwood has set a strong foundation for his future learning and growth. We will always cherish the memories and the impact this school has had on our family.

We highly recommend Starwood Academy of Frisco. I love the Montessori approach to education and Starwood is serious about their commitment to Montessori principles and practices. The environment is beautiful. The students are taught grace and courtesy along with their academics, which contributes to a peaceful learning atmosphere. Teachers and administrators are respectful and kind. We have had the same teacher for the last several years (as is the case in Montessori environments) and she has been amazing for my student. She is fun, and engages the students, but she has their respect and handles any issues that arise. The Spanish, Drama, Music and Athletic Development teachers are also excellent. We have had a wonderful experience there.

Both my kids attend Starwood and love it there! My oldest has been going to Starwood for over 6 years now and we have always had a positive interactions with the front desk staff, teachers and Ms Anita Hanks. The teachers are wonderful and extremely supportive of the kids and their development. Thank you Starwood for everything!

I held on to this review for awhile in hopes my initial anger and frustration would subside but it has not. I trusted Starwood (Administration) to do what was best for my son and they did the complete opposite. He initially was in the primary class at his first school but I then took a job at Starwood and transitioned my son over. It was only after they had watched him in class for two weeks that they decided to let me know what they were doing. They decided to demote him to the Toddler classroom which I thought was extreme but I trusted them as professionals. His toddler teacher was great but the environment made him regress extremely. I quickly withdrew him and I also quit. This was the worst decision I had made for my son and I still regret it to this day he is now in Primary at his old school and making great progess.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! I had both of my kids attend and the staff was absolutely wonderful. Starwood Academy's attention to detail is what sets them apart from other options in the area. They invest in understanding each child's needs, and create a personalized environment to give them a great head start (academics, socialization, nutrition, etc.). The investment and communication that they also have with parents is second to none. Thank you to the entire staff!!!

Our son has been attending Starwood for almost a year. The teachers, management, and front desk staff are amazing. We have seen tremendous growth in his communication, verbal, and autonomous life skills during his time at Starwood. Most importantly, he enjoys going to school and loves his teachers. Thankful we have such an amazing school that is available to our community.

We love the school and the staff. My daughter was here for 2 yrs and she came from another school where she had terrible experience, but with in the first week itself she got adjusted so well and became so confident, she used to be so happy to go to school everyday. She loves her teachers till today even though she is been out of the school for almost 2yrs. Now my son is going there and we feel the same comfort and confidence that he is in safe and good hands. We really love the school and the staff, that is the reason we are sending our second kid as well. We also recommended the school to so many of our friends. So far parents and kids both are happy with the school. Keep up the good spitirs! Thank you!

We have been incredibly impressed with the entire staff at Starwood Academy. They do a great job of providing a stimulating, challenging and enjoyable experience for their students. It is obvious that they are attentive to every aspect of a student's needs and as a result they have created a top notch learning environment that combines the best of what traditional Montessori education and modern technology have to offer.
