Bright Horizons Springfield Lodge Dartford Day Nursery & Preschool

My 2 children attend Springfield, the love all the staff and never want to come home, I can't thank the staff enough for all they do for my children and the support they give to me a nervous Mum leaving them at nursery for the first time.

My child went here from when she was 1 until 2 and she cried everyday I dropped her -she then started crying when we drove towards the nursery and then started running away when her key worker would open the door - this happened for a year - I wish I listened to her earlier and took her out. She is now in another nursery and she loves it she never cries and waves me goodbye with the biggest smile on her face. She always looked unkept when I picked her up and her nose was never wiped until I came to collect her - there was something my baby did not like about that nursery - my advice to all parents is to listen to your baby if she keeps crying and unsettled for a few weeks just take them out you will end up regretting it in the future.

I cannot recommend Springfield lodge enough. My little one has been going since December and everyone at the nursery have been great. So caring and really trying to help him develop. He’s been slow to walk but all the staff have been trying to help him. I saw a previous post saying the staff were rude and perhaps it was because she was not from the UK. I really struggle to believe that this has been their experience as truly I think everyone at the nursery is exceptionally kind and really friendly. It’s also very multicultural and they go out of their way to embrace all of the different cultures, both with the variety of food but also loads of little extras including the different languages and celebrations. I’m a first time mum, so didn’t know what to expect but the nursery have gone out their way to reassure me and it really is the best environment for my little one.

Had to remove my little one from this nursery when they was pushed by a member of staff, prior to this incident I also had to raise the following issues to the nursery- My child not being fed sufficiently and also the children watching TV programmes at the nursery- which I ended up reporting to ofsted as they said it would stop but it didn’t until the report was made. The push was my final straw at this point I had to remove my little one. I would like to add that every concern I raised with the management at the nursery was really unpleasant they constantly displayed a rude and “don’t care attitude”. Brighthorizon have many branches and I am sure I don’t speak for them all but the staff of this particular location is definitely ruining their brand.

Bad experience. Every single interactions we had, the manager was very rude. Not sure if it is because I am a foreigner or what the pb was. My little one would not settle down for the first time although it's never been a problem before, and would cry every day not to go there.

I registered my son in Aug 22 to start in March 23. I received no communication or contact from the nursery regarding waiting lists or potential places for my son. I got a phone call from the nursery on the 6th March 23 asking if I still needed a place and if they could take my son off the waiting. SHOCKING given he needed to start in March. All I know is if this nursery's admin is this shocking how can they be trusted to look after our babies when they cannot handle paperwork!!

It’s a good place for your child to be but can do with some improvements…

The staff are very professional ensuring COVID-19 guidelines are followed to minimise transmission. Welcoming children every morning with a smile on their face, I recommend the nursery!!! Positive Responsiveness, Reliability, Quality, Professionalism

My daughter and son attends the BH and I have never been happier with the help and support they give them. My son just started in March and he’s 21 month old. He has settled really well and loves to play in the garden. my daughter has been there almost 2 years and now in preschool. She loves the outdoor area, she gets home and talk about all the activities she’s done with her teachers. She loves them and she never get tired of going there. I love that the teachers supports the children in all areas and tell the parent about what they do day to day. I will strongly recommend.
