Our journey at South Shore Montessori school just started a few weeks ago. I can already tell that my child loves it there , my 2 1/2-year-old daughter has never been in school before and I was so afraid that she will be uncomfortable being around other people and kids but all the staff of South shore Montessori made sure that my daughter had the best experience ever. It is very pleasant to see her happy to go to school each morning and excited to see her teachers and her friends. This is not just an ordinary daycare where all the kids do is play. My daughter came home just after being there for three days reciting a poem that I’ve never heard which I knew was taught to her in school , it was very exciting for me to hear! I have always loved the Montessori method and taking my daughter to South Shore Montessori and getting daily updates of her progress just proved that I made the right decision to put my daughter in this school.

This school has been a saving grace for my son and our family. I changed jobs at the beginning of Covid meaning a change in childcare. South Shore Montessori was able to give us a virtual tour and walk us through what his new schedule would be. They’re attentive to needs and encourage family participation. The small class sizes are also a plus.

My son is in the infant room and loves it. He is a different baby since attending . He comes home smiling and happy everyday. It took him only 2 days to stop crying when I left him for the first time. He is learning new things everyday. We love the extra activities they do with him monthly. The staff is very friendly and professional. We are blessed to have found south shore Montessori and couldn’t be happier with it.

We have had our son at South Shore Montessori for the last year and and half and absolutely love it there. He started in the infant room and is now in the preschool room. The teachers in both classes have been so sweet to him. He loves going to school. The school is smaller in size and has a family feel to it. Not only is he well cared for, but our son has learned so much already. I’ve been impressed with the academic and social skills that he has learned. Can’t say enough good things about SSM.

We consider South Shore Montessori part of our family. My daughter has been attending since 2017 and we couldn’t be happier. We’ve watched her grow, learn, and gain numerous skills which she applies daily. The teachers at SSM have touched our lives and continue to impact her in positive ways. Our teachers challenge her with tasks and she looks forward to seeing them daily. As a parent I appreciate how the staff keeps in contact with our family- emails, calendars (filled with activities and friendly reminders), brightwheel app, phone calls, and mail. Communication and transparency is important and the SSM staff is always willing to take a call, respond to a message, text, and email. We are grateful to have them as a part of our family. We love our SSM! -Norma Harrison

I have nothing but great things to say about SSM. I love the one on one attention that each child receives in such a small and private setting. My daughter started at 10 months old during the pandemic. Since we can not go in the building, the staff has all been so good with communication throughout the day to put your mind at ease. I love getting the photos of the fun activities they do throughout the day. And all of the artwork they send home. She has developed so much in just a short few months that she has been there. Huge shout out to Erica, Amanda, Lucero, & Lulu who go above and beyond for my baby and all of the kids there!

Elementary program allows kids expand their educational platform beyond the grade they are in. Great for children that excel. For those children that are still working to reach grade level performance the teachers are able to develop personalized lesson plans that allow the child to pick up new skills.
