Lakeview Montessori on the Hill

I cannot say enough fantastic things about the school. Whether it be the cleanliness of the school, the way the rooms are setup to engage the children, how the staff interacts with the kids or how the director is always overseeing everything that goes on, Lakeview manages to consistently exceed my expectations, which are very high. I have never seen a school where they are so involved. I swear, they all love the kids like they would their own family. All of the women working there have been there for YEARS! I tell everyone I meet about the school. It just doesn’t get any better than Lakeview Montessori.

My son has been there for 2 years, it’s a small but cozy school, the teachers are nice and love the kids, we can see the kids are active and happy there.

I visited 3 other school in the area and immediately when I walked in I knew this was the best fit for our family. Clarissa has a hear of a mother and I love that my kids are at "home" when they are there. We started summer of 2017 and I have been pleased the entire time. Safe, fun, loving, and many opportunities to learn.

Lakeview Montessori School is a wonderfully nurturing environment and was an instrumental part of my family's life for the past 11 years. The school director and teachers are all the best in the business and many have been there for several years or more. You will never wonder if your child is being cared for and loved when they are at LMS. We also met other amazing LMS families that we still keep in touch with today!

Our family was driving in the car yesterday (Sunday), when my 4 year old exclaimed out loud: "I can't wait till tomorrow!" None of us in the car could think of anything special/out of the ordinary happening on Monday, so we asked her: "What's happening tomorrow?" To which she replied: "School. I am so excited to go to school tomorrow! I love my teachers and friends and I love to learn!" I don't think that there could be a better endorsement for a school, than the one that comes directly from a student. But as a parent, I can say that we toured many schools when we began our search and Lakeview Montessori School by far surpassed the rest. We chose the school for its warm, friendly, atmosphere and loving teachers. The ratios are small and that really appealed to us. The staff knows each child by name and also knows his/her strengths and weaknesses. This allows for "teachable moments" that are tailored to each student and follow Montessori principles. Thank you Lakeview Montessori School for taking such great care of our children and helping to develop them into caring members of society.

When I first contacted LMS to see if it was a good fit for my daughter who at the time was less than 18 months, Clarissa and the staff were extremely helpful and transparent about the school, their ways of working and how they integrate their Montessori philosophy into the core of the school. Having gone through Montessori myself and having my mother as a seasoned Montessori teacher, I would say I am more informed than the average parent about the teaching methods and philosophy. I was pleased to see that even at the toddler level, there class is full of Montessori materials. This was not the case in all the schools I visited. I was worried that my daughter may have a difficult time adjusting to the school environment as she had been with a nanny since infancy. She transitioned beautifully. Largely in part due to the amazing staff at this school and the attention they place to both the parents and childs needs. Now that my daughter has been there well over a year, I know 100% I made the right choice. This school is perfect for us and we cannot say enough great things about all the teachers, and the owner. We love LMS!

I absolutely love this school! Both of my children have attended this school starting at the age of 18 months. My youngest one is still there. My oldest has of course moved on, but he still raves about how great this school was when he was there. The teachers and staff work well with the children and they love the children as if they were their own. I love that they are "school" first and then child care. The children are taught a great daily routine and an academic/ work ethic which is proven beneficial as our children prepare to transition to public school. I totally recommend this school!

Our daughter had been cared for by a nanny until we decided to enroll her in school the year prior to her having to attend Kindergarten. We did as much homework in our search for a pre-school program as we did for finding the right nanny. Lakeview Montessori on the Hill and their wonderful staff made the transition for both us and our daughter a pleasant one. Their patience and understanding with our daughter in helping her switch from a nanny and home environment, to a classroom setting was remarkable. In regards to their education techniques, it gets even better! She learned so much in her first two months there, and she continues to excel every day. I also love that they incorporate a little foreign language in their curriculum. Our daughter comes home either singing or speaking the new words she learned in Spanish and Chinese. Thank you LMS!
