Forest Park Montessori

just walked by. .all the children playing outside...gate.was open so I looed.to see where the teachers were. ..one teacher was sitting on a bench engrossed in her.phone while a little girl was.trying to talk to her. 2pm. as a fellow techer...don't moder that, be with the kids...

We LOVE Forest Park so much. Our two girls are now in their second year here and it has exceeded our expectations. It is a tight knit community and the teachers are amazing. It has been great to watch the girls thrive and come home talking about all the new things they learned that day and proudly showing us their school "works" at the end of the week. It is clear they enjoy the school and are finding learning fun even when it is a difficult subject. Big thanks to the FP teachers for pulling that off and making school a place they are eager to go to everyday.

Our son has been at FPMS for almost one year, after attending a different Montessori school for the previous 2 years. His social and academic growth since he started FPMS have been dramatic and wonderful! He is truly excited about learning, and is always looking for opportunities to share his new-found skills. One of the nicest changes for us has been that he is HAPPY to be dropped off in the morning (which was not the case before), and often wants to stay longer at the end of the school day. The FPMS community of parents, teachers, and kiddos has been incredibly inclusive and welcoming; we are SO fortunate to have found this little gem of a school!

This school is such a special place. Since it's one classroom and everyone is there together 5 days a week, the kids and teachers have such a strong rapport with each other. The classroom felt like a big family, instead of just a school/classroom, from the first time we checked it out. We love the consistency our son gets each day, so he can feel safe, grounded and able to explore, learn, grow. The teachers are beyond amazing, everything I could hope for to guide and care for our son. The parent community is supportive and engaging.

Our four year old daughter attends Forest Park Montessori and has been since she was just over two and a half. As soon as we stepped foot in the classroom for a tour and met with the head of school, we knew this was the learning environment we wanted for our child. It is incredibly warm and welcoming for young children and has come to feel like home for our daughter. There has never been a day when she has not wanted to attend school. (She even was upset about having a snow day recently.) The greatest asset of the school are the teachers. They are talented and dedicated educators, all Montessori-certified. More importantly, however, is their ability to connect with children, which they all do very naturally and full of heart. Their approach to teaching and learning breeds passion, independence, and curiosity in their students. My daughter began sounding out words at age three and is now bringing home short stories to read to us. She also loves math and uses long car rides to count to 100 for us. Over the weekends, we often hear her say how much she misses school and her friends there. We feel very blessed to have found a school where she is loved by her teachers and friends in an environment that fosters such an authentic love for learning.

Couldn't ask for a better preschool education for my child. They are professional and take great pride in what they do.

This preschool has been the perfect place for our 2 children. They have learned so much, made great friends and have had just a wonderful experience. We love the Montessori method and are thrilled to have FMPS a truly an authentic Montessori school, in our community!
