Absolutely love PMK. We have had two children there over a 4 year period and have loved it. Wonderful teachers and a nurturing learning environment. It has provided the best foundations and easiest transition into school. Highly recommend PMK.

Both of our children have attended PMK and we can't speak highly enough of the centre and our experience there. Without exception, the teachers are nurturing, kind and emotionally in-tune with the children. The small ratios allow for a personalised approach to learning where each child is closely observed to support their growth and natural interests. The teachers generously share their own cultures which has enriched the girls' experience and supported early learning of Te Reo Māori. A special mention of PMK's music programme led by Meryl Main which is exceptional and has brought us so much joy as a family. The centre itself has excellent resources and a fantastic outdoor area with natural grass and a veggie garden. We are very sad to say goodbye next week but our four-year-old is so ready for school - thank you PMK!

I have sent both my kids to PMK. The staff ratio is really good (well over the required minimum) they are all fully qualified teachers (again exceeding minimum requirements) and they're just really interested in helping all the kids thrive. Like, the WHOLE team are truly wonderful teachers and caregivers who give so much skill and energy and aroha to the kids. Every day. They're superstars. Once we settled on PMK for my first child, we had such a good experience (and he went on to do so well at school) we wanted to send our second there too, and we're very fortunate that we could.

Our daughter started Ponsonby Montessori Kindergarten earlier this year upon a friend’s recommendation. We have been very impressed; the kindy is very well run with excellent resources, the teachers are super warm, present and caring and it offers a high teacher to child ratio. Our daughter absolutely loves it, and the language and music lessons she gets to experience. Highly recommend to anyone wanting the best possible pre school experience for their child.

We looked at lots of Kindy’s in the area and PMK is by far the best. The way that Canaan, Alexia and the other wonderful staff structure the day so the kids can find their own skills and interests in learning and play is amazing. They’re definitely not just being “looked after” they’re very much taken an interest in, and helped to grow as kids. Our daughter started at 2 and has really blossomed in the 2 years she’s been there and we can’t wait to send our second child when the time is right. We couldn’t recommend this centre highly enough!
