Riverhead Montessori Preschool Learning Centre

Our 3 children went through Riverhead Montessori and we could not have asked for a more awesome preschool experience for them! We always knew they were loved and happy at Monty and they were so so ready to tackle school thanks to wonderful teachers who really know how to instill a love of learning. A truly special spot!

The best in Riverhead/Kumeu area! We absolutely love Riverhead Montessori. Our child has thrived in this learning environment and has made many friends. The teachers are all so wonderful, they are like family and are so caring and nurturing with the children. Lots of space outdoors for the children to play and explore. We will miss Riverhead Montessori. Thank you Kelli and team for enriching our little one’s life!

I cannot speak highly enough of Riverhead Montessori. The staff all went above and beyond to help when my first daughter had some challenges. My second daughter is so happy and comes out beaming every day. All of the staff feel like an extended family they are so warm and welcoming. Highly recommend.

A friend of mine went through ALL the Montessori preschools in Auckland (for her children) and suggested that I send my kids here because it seemed to be the best. It truly is a special place where kids are well loved and encouraged to explore and learn. My kids are thriving here. My 4 year old is reading and writing already, and my almost 3 is thriving too. Would recommend anyone to take a look at this centre and do the visits.

Just thought I'd add a comment since I'm SO impressed with the school. My 3yo started about two months ago. Since he's been enrolled I've seen so much improvement in his speech, fine and gross motor skills, and social development. The biggest change I've seen in my little wild child is his behaviour! HE LOVES SCHOOL. He was previously enrolled in an early childhood centre and cried every time we would drop him off, saying he didn't want to go to school etc. etc. But since he has been at Montessori he hasn't cried once! On the weekend he asks if it's a school day, and comes home raving about his "story school" (his nickname for Montessori). The connection each teacher has with each child is so refreshing to see, and In my opinion it's one of the main reasons the kids are so willing to learn. I truly believe they are what makes our school so successful. They each are so passionate about guiding and helping the kids learn and it shows when you step in the room and watch each teacher interact with each child. My son is stubborn like his dad, and all though fully capable he would never clean up when asked, he'd rely on me to do everything for him. Now he is so confident and does so much on his own and helps at home with little chores. (This boy even replaces the toilet roll 😱). I think that speaks for itself. Enrolling my son in Riverhead Montessori was the best decision I've ever made and I feel so happy that he is getting what I believe is the best education from just an early age. (And he's just started, you should see the kids that have been there since they were young! My jaw actually dropped!) I highly recommend visiting the centre if you are looking to enrol your child!
