Marshwood Montessori Preschool - Glendowie

Marshwood really cares about the kids. The director and all the teachers show so much love and attention. Even though there are a lot of kids, it's amazing how the director takes the time to analyze each one and come up with personalized strategies. When we first moved to New Zealand, my child didn’t know any English, but with all the careful support and strategic help, she picked up English really quickly. Over the past year and a half, I’ve seen the preschool grow and improve continuously, thanks to their effort, responsibility, and pride in their work. With all that, I’m sure the future of this preschool is even brighter, and you can definitely trust them with your child.

Marshwood is a beautiful environment supplemented by even more wonderful teachers. We moved our 3yo there 6 months ago from another local center and he is thriving there. The move was well supported and he adjusted quickly. The management is fantastic, the communication clear and regular. We’ll be moving out 1.5yo there when she is old enough also as we find this is the best place for little minds to grow and develop in a lovely nurturing environment. We highly recommend anyone looking for a local center checks it out.

Marshwood has created such a kind, caring and welcoming environment for my children. There are always plenty of activities to keep them learning in a supportive and fun way. The teachers are fantastic and put so much of their time and effort into each child and their needs and make Marshwood feel like family. Our children have gone onto school with confidence, independence and a love for learning - a strong foundation laid down for them by the Marshwood team. Thank you!

We can’t thank all the teachers enough for their hard work and dedication to Marshwood and early childhood. Our little girl found it hard initially to be separated from me. She would cry non-stop at any place we went to. It broke our hearts. However, Maya and Mamatha spent time with our daughter and I, understanding her needs and engaging with her. Very soon my daughter settled in with no issues and was so happy. We like the Montessori approach but I also believe that the team spend time with the children to understand their individual needs and personalities. Moreover, our daughter has a nut allergy and I can’t thank the team enough for our peace of mind and working with us to make things work. We will miss the team dearly as we relocate to Asia. I am sure my daughter will as she is already asking if the same teachers will be in her new school 🥹 Thank you Marshwood Team! P.S. I strongly believe Marshwood does not deserve a negative review. You just need to spend one day in Marshwood to understand the beauty the team has to offer to our kids and parents 🙂

We have had 2 children go through Marshwood from 2 - 5 years old, and currently have our 3rd child going through the preschool. The whole team from Marshwood have been great to deal with, keeping us informed and the kids have always come back with lots of curious questions, happy experiences and growing skills. Each of our girls made huge progress, and the ones that have started school started really well advanced and ready to learn which has been awesome to see. I would highly recommend this preschool for anyone looking for a great learning experience.
