Our daughter started Wicklow Montessori in preschool, attending nine years. And she loved every minute of it. No bullying and a lovely nurturing environment with small class sizes. The Montessori approach teaches the kids to learn at their own pace but in a supervised fashion. All the teachers are experienced, patient and excellent. I can't say enough positive things about the school. (But don't ask me, check out my daughter's Google review! :-)

As a past pupil of the Montessori, I could not recommend it enough. My two siblings and I enjoyed many years in the Montessori and gained invaluable education and experiences from the school.

"Our decision to enroll our three children at Wicklow Montessori was undoubtedly the best choice my wife and I made for their education. It provided them with an exceptional foundation, tailored to their individual strengths and abilities. The school's small class sizes ensured each child received the necessary support and attention to thrive, resulting in well-rounded, confident individuals. Despite its intimate setting, Wicklow Montessori has consistently achieved top national awards across various disciplines, from science to the arts. Our children not only excelled academically but also developed a lasting confidence that eased their transition into secondary school and beyond. The close-knit community fostered by the school staff created a sense of inclusivity and belonging that we couldn't be more thankful for. Wicklow Montessori holds a special place in our hearts for the invaluable education and support it provided."

We've had a great experience with Wicklow Montessori for our two boys. The small class sizes are ideal, and the teachers are so helpful and attentive. The Montessori method really supports them to learn at their own pace, as well as cooperatively with kids both younger and older. I'm amazed at how much they love their school!

Wicklow Montessori Primary School (WMPS) is simply the most amazing little haven where our son Benjy was educated from pre-school through to 6th class. "Nurturing the Love of Learning" is the school's mission - being true to Maria Montessori's principles of teaching - this school went above and beyond doing just that for our son. The children learn in a creative and open environment, that engenders independence, inclusion and welcomes diversity. The school covers the regular primary curriculum but with so much more including French, Science and Technology. These extra subjects mean our children get a broader education that prepares them for secondary level but it is how all of these subjects are taught I believe is the nub of what makes this school so special. The teaching methodologies are varied and steer well clear of learning by rote. The teachers have trained in teaching through philosophy and this encourages our children to be open minded and think laterally as well as logically. All of this learning is done within a fun-loving atmosphere where the children, no matter what age, are respected and cared for. I cannot recommend this school too much, it helped us to ensure our son is a well-grounded, confident and a kind young adult now.

Love this place! We moved to Brittas when we found this school. Small classes, Tech, community. 2 years in and not a single bad day. The kids love to go every morning!

My children have thoroughly enjoyed their time here. They have such a wealth of activities to choose from. Learning French from Junior Infants, learning science from the start and importantly learning independence through the Montessori method. There aren’t many schools like this. Can’t recommend highly enough

We relocated from London and were so lucky to get our son a place in 4th class. He made the transition so seamlessly. The school community really helped us as a family to settle into Wicklow. The teaching staff are incredible and truly unique. The small class sizes allowed for a broad range of circular activities to be offered. Highly recommend
