Rigg Farm Montessori Nursery

We will be forever grateful to our family friend (a former head teacher) who recommended Rigg Farm to us. We have sent both our girls and they have flourished in their caring and nurturing environment. The setting is idyllic, our girls have loved caring for the animals and getting to spend so much time outdoors. The team at Rigg Farm are so dedicated and committed to supporting each child's growth and development - it's a joy to see. Just a short drive from Harrogate - absolutely worth it and couldn't recommend it more!

Rigg farm is a very special place & moving our son there was one of the best decisions we’ve made. It’s far more than childcare or a place for children to play with toys. Everything is so intentionally created & thoughtfully designed from the structure of the day, the environment & the activities provided… all the way through to the way in which the children are spoken to & treated, moment to moment. It’s a fun, nurturing & supportive place for children to truly thrive & they are treated as individuals with the love, kindness & respect they deserve. We receive regular updates on activities our son has been doing, ways in which they are aiding his social, emotional & cognitive development, the themes that are running in the nursery e.g. learning about planets & suggested ways we can support to further aid his progress at home - including an open evening each term where we get to know more about how he’s doing. We couldn’t ask for more & only wish our son had started sooner & could stay longer!

I wanted to take a moment to recommend Rigg Farm, an exceptional Montessori nursery that our eldest daughter has attended for the past two years. The experience has been incredibly positive and has significantly contributed to her development as a toddler. One of the things our daughter enjoys most is playing outside, where she has had the joy of feeding the farm animals. The facility itself offers breathtaking views of Almscliffe Crag, creating a serene and inspiring environment for the children. We have already decided to send our youngest child there when the time comes, as I truly believe in the value of the nurturing setting they provide. I couldn't recommend it highly enough!

When looking for a nursery for my little boy, I found Rigg Farm and I fell in love with everything about it. The Montessori curriculum is incredible and fosters so much independence from the children, allowing them to learn a wide variety of skills in a safe and nurturing environment. The staff are warm, welcoming and knowledgeable, supporting children to make progress in all Areas of the curriculum. The outdoor space is fantastic and the children learn to help care for the animals on site. I love the My Montessori Child app where the teachers share observations so we can see what the children have been doing at nursery as well as any important updates or information. I highly recommend anyone looking for a nursery place for their little one to visit Rigg Farm.
