Leeds Montessori School & Day Nursery

Much the same as the other reviews. It was really good in the beginning (2+ years ago), but went downhill. I was not happy with the care given to my child in the last 6 months she was there, I worried about her safety and the level of care numerous times. A lot of the staff are agency staff. I didn’t get regular feedback and didn’t realise how bad this was until I moved her to a new nursery. I must note my child has been out of this nursery for 4 months now.

The same comments really, very good nursery in the past, currently has lost staff, interest in child wellbeing and so much more. The prices excessive for what they offer. Not Montessori accreditation anymore.

Incredible at first, but under Bright Stars ownership and management, the experience, care, and level of montessori teaching has deteriorated significantly. Babies seem somewhat protected by the turmoil, however, the prices they charge are a premium for montessori service far below par. The positive experiences have been down to the staff: their leadership, passion, and expertise. This has all but gone now, in the mass exodus of staff over the past 10-18 months. There are some wonderful permanent staff remaining, but they are so stretched and under-supported they cannot physically provide the level of care Bright Stars are charging parents for. Also worth noting it is no longer an accredited montessori, and hasn’t been since December 2022…

About 8 years ago there was this bully hurting my son but I was wondering if it won’t happen again. :/

Just spoke to a really rude member of staff when enquiring about a place for my son, sounded really enthusiastic until realising I was enquiring about funded 15 hours, then refused to discuss anything any further, provide any details or add me to the waiting list. Im glad she did that to be honest, wouldnt want my son to be treated any different because his place would be funded. But if you're classist and elitist, im sure this is the place for you. An exceptional nursery with a focus on education, structure and play. A fun environment where learning takes place every day. Our daughter loves it here and is thriving. All the staff are fantastic practitioners, can not fault it.
