Pier Head Prep Montessori School

We love Pier Head and our little girl loves going there too. She speaks happily about her experiences, teachers and friends from school. Our little girl has thrive since joining and we are very happy with our choice of preschool.

This is a lovely small family run pre school & primary school, with the most wonderful caring staff. I chose the school as it seemed to have structure which was lacking in all the other settings I looked at in Wapping. My daughter (30 months old) was very nervous as this was her first setting, however the staff were very supportive & helped her to overcome her separation anxiety. Feedback is provided everyday in person at pick up and via the tapestry app and WhatsApp. The school is good at fostering a home/school connection, which is very important to me as I am very engaged in my daughters learning. The other children and families are lovely, too. I feel that this is a great environment for bright children, as there are lots of opportunities to engage in more ‘advanced’ activities as there are often older children around. My daughter especially enjoys playing in the garden with her school friends. I also love the way that Montessori methods are combined with a comprehensive EYFS curriculum. Teachers also challenge my daughter to try new things all the time, and she is responding really well to this encouragement. My daughter has been encouraged to share stories and lead activities in ‘circle time’ from the very beginning and this has been great for her confidence. I would not hesitate to recommend Pier Head to other parents.

My children are both at the school, they seem really happy there by the Thames as they mention seeing the boats a lot. Staff have have very caring towards what I need for my children as a single father of two boys they have been more than helpful. Would definately recommend.
