Bright Horizons Leatherhead Day Nursery & Preschool

Bright Horizons has potential with its location and facilities, but our experience was disappointing. Constant staffing changes made it hard for my son to form relationships, and he went 4 months without a key person, which is unacceptable for a child's development. Communication was inconsistent-some staff said he had a good day, others said he was upset. We also got mixed messages about his eating, raising concerns about attention to detail. One upsetting incident during toilet training involved a male staff member who didn't help when my 3-year-old struggled to pull his pants down. As a result, he had an accident, getting urine on his pants and shoes. This avoidable situation made him anxious about using the toilet at nursery, leading to a long-term issue of holding his urine, which we had to work hard to resolve. On another occasion, I found my son crying while the preschool group was told to stay quiet because toddlers were sleeping. No one followed up with us afterward despite both managers seeing our child and myself leaving clearly upset.

My daughter has been in the baby room since October 2023, the staff have been amazing and I’m always kept very updated throughout the day on the app. The nursery management help the nursery run very smoothly and I’m always more then happy to leave her with any of the staff that are within the nursery. Thank you for everyone for making the transition to nursery life so easy for her.

My daughter goes to this nursery since March 2024 and she is in toddlers group. The staff is amazing, the management runs the nursery to the highest standards. There is lots of activities everyday, I also get updates throughout a day on their app. The chef cooks healthy meals. The garden is big and well equipped. I could not recommend them enough , worth booking a show around visit so you get all the details and information about the funding.

We have two children at the nursery and have had a very positive experience so far for both children. Lucy and Hayley run the nursery very well and there are some really great staff members who really know what they are talking about. The facilities are lovely, clean and bright and the outside space is a big bonus. It’s been hard during Covid but the team at the nursery have done everything they can to make it as normal as possible for the children, which has been really helpful for us in keeping some normality and routine for them.
