The PREP School of Stone Oak - Private Preschool

The only positive aspect of this location is Rachel and Erica that work the front desk. Pre k 2 room, which is ran by Ms Jaselyn Moreno… horrific. I watched her wrestle an item out of a child’s hands, legit wrestle it. When she ripped it from his hands, he began to kick the little girl next to him. After speaking to the director about the incident, she stated he has sensory issues. 😳 When did we start man handling children that have sensory issues? And if his sensory issues are touch (because it’s not noise, that class is LOUD) and the item in his hand was keeping him seated and not bothering anyone… your teacher thought the course of action she was taking was the best choice… man handling a child with sensory issues. The first teacher, Ms B , could not show up on time. Ms Moreno seemed promising, but she started not showing up on time. She left the class one time to drive the bus to pick up kids, leaving her class with someone else during nap. When I showed up to pick up my son, it was 3:15; the lights still off and kids still in bed. When I asked the lady why the kids are still in bed, she replied that their teacher wasn’t back yet and she wouldn’t get them up until she got back. 😳 Do not send your children here. There is zero knowledge or concept of child development on the teacher level or the director level. Many other parent pulled their children from this location.

We absolutely love the Prep school! We had to move out of state and I have yet to find a school that comes anywhere close to Prep. The teachers and staff are amazing. Highly recommend!

The best private school in the Stone Oak area! The Prep has the most genuine, hands on and extremely personable staff. We love that our kids actually enjoy going to school every day. They love their teachers, who are absolutely incredible and pour so much into each and every student. We could not recommend a better private school to prepare your child to be the best student he/she can possibly be.

We have enrolled all three of our children at The Prep of Stone Oak, and our experience has been exceptional. Our oldest son, who is autistic (though undiagnosed at the time), began attending when he was four after trying three other daycares. The staff at The Prep did a fantastic job with him, and he still enjoys their summer program. Our middle child loves The Prep, too. They assisted with his potty training, and now he’s ready to start kindergarten, able to read confidently. Our youngest has been attending since she was three months old. She has now started potty training and is always excited to go to school, greeting her teachers with big hugs every morning. As a parent, this level of enthusiasm and comfort is incredibly reassuring. It confirms that our children are safe, happy, and thriving intellectually. Thank you, The Prep of Stone Oak! We highly recommend this wonderful school.

We had the same experience that others have had. As I have read through some of the reviews, I feel like many have written my exact thoughts. Constant calls about behavior and to pick up early, constant parent teacher conferences, etc. we eventually pulled our son out and he has been much happier. We don’t have any of the outbursts he was having while under their care. We also have communicated with other parents who are actively seeking outside care for the same situation. The problem is clearly not the kids.

We love The Prep! The staff is friendly and welcoming. Our very shy daughter is now thriving after getting used to going to school there, being well taken care of and developing trust with her teachers. There is no comparison to other schools.
