The Montessori school of Fort Smith is over crowded, staff is under trained and overwhelmed. The school is not accredited by any Montessori society nor regulated by any educational entity. Administration is careless, money driven and unresponsive. This school has gone from a community of caring people, to an exclusive club for the wealthy. Sad. “05/09/2016 There is money being donated without proper IRS documentation, fundraiser prizes are not distributed as advertised, monies raised for one thing then are being allocated elsewhere, and the staff are required to sign non-disclosure agreements regarding everything, including payroll information. This organization has not filed anything with the State of Arkansas since incorporation in 1989, not even to update the current mailing address. The members of the board are unknown to the public, as are the dates, times and locations of their meetings, so getting to attend one is impossible. The chief executive listed is the gatekeeper for all, including the agendas for the meetings. Any information relating to this 501(c)(3) that are supposed to be made FREELY available by law to the public is not so available, even from the state of incorporation and operation.” Michelle2267 via greatnonprofits.org

My daughter started in the Primary class as a 4YO - we are beyond amazed with how fast she is learning new things, but also how much she loves this learning style. She did “traditional” preschool for a few years, and while that was great, she didn’t really enjoy the learning portion (and little actually stuck) and she was only there to play! When she gets home from the Montessori school now, she wants to show us what she learned and to continue practicing her learning - we love it! The staff and teaches are excellent and we have been so happy with their Covid-19 precautions as well! Could not recommend this school more than I do now - it’s the perfect spot for us!

We love that school. The teachers and office are really nice and take their time to explain anything you need about your child’s education. My boy couldn’t deal with other school and the Montessori hace their own way to work with children. He is happy there and make lots of friends. But more important is that he learn a lot just in first few months. Appreciate it!

We love this school! Our three year old is very timid and did not have success at another school in town. The staff is caring and invested in her success. Our daughter is flourishing here and loves learning, which is vital to her future learning.
