Sunflower Montessori Preschool & Day Care - Van Nuys

Sent both my children to Sunflower for 2 years before we eventually moved to Canada. It doesn’t look very fancy, but my kids loved all their teachers. We were well supported as a family. Schedule was flexible and accomodating. Rates are reasonable. I personally loved all the potlucks and kids’ performances. We will miss Sunflower Montessori School.

No debería darle ni una estrella pero lo tenía que poner para poder opinar realmente la escuela esta muy sucia y las Indus tienen mala cara un día pase y ví que tenían a un niño llorando yo ni de loca dejo a mi hijo ahí se ve que no tienen humor para lidiar con lo pequeños y aparte muy sucio el lugar por afuera se ve que no limpian🙂

Amazing school for my family! Close by and kids Love it so much! Gives me a break and relief to go have alone time haha!

very sweet staff, my daughter loves this school, and now has a lot of friends, she's always very happy when I pick her up. Her social skills have definitely improved. I Recommend this place

Sunflower Montessori provides an extremely loving, supportive and positive environment for children. Ms. Roshauna the director/owner is dedicated to creating a happy safe place to learn and grow. My grandson flourished there . He learned how to make friends and loved the staff . All of the teachers are warm , patient and caring. Sunflower teaches montessori to a diverse group of children ,offering dance and music as and enrichment . He participated in his first dance performance with his classmates. I have never seen him so happy,excited and thrilled to be with his peers! I highly recommend this school and their wonderful staff!

The owner and the staff are extremely friendly - I felt very comfortable sending my child to Sunflower. They maintain the place very well and based on previous reviews, there might be one off experiences. The school is a welcoming and a friendly environment for my kid to be around. Highly recommend Sunflower if you live in the Van Nuys area.

I heard some good things about this school, and did a walk around to see if it was a place I could take my child. I was not pleased. The school is very dirty and could use a lot of repairs. Most of the pictures on the wall are old and should be updated. Also I noticed the toys the children were playing with looked very dirty and should be replaced. I don't like thinking of my child passing around dirty toys like the ones at this school. That's how germs are spread. I also noticed the sand box in the play yard had Cat poop in it and it looks like the poop had been there a while. DISGUSTING!! For the tutions/fees to get in this school would would think they would be putting this money back in to the school.! I would have only gave one star but the teachers and staff were very pleasant and helpful. They really need to take better care of their school if they want parents to bring their children here.
