Rock Prairie Montessori School

We've had so many positive experiences in the last 12 years at RPMS that it's overwhelming to pick a place to start! They are a strong and extremely supportive community. They will walk to the end of the earth to help any family in any way, spanning well beyond education. My children learn academics to their core, therefore they have a deeper understanding, AND they meet that family's emotional needs. They also help teach and reinforce being grateful and helping others whenever possible. Additionally, this is the ONLY school that I actually feel SAFE sending my kids to! Sadly, schools are scary places these days and selecting a good school can be terrifying. I have never made a better parenting decision than to send my kids to RPMS.

I can't believe I've never posted on here. I was going through old emails and found some from Rock Prairie. We had used the Montessori system in other states (we're military) and this one can not compare in the slightest. The teachers are highly critical and they resorted to "diagnosing" my three year old daughter with autism because she wouldn't wear snowpants. We had just moved from California. For how expensive this school is, you'd think they'd dedicate ten minutes to trying to familiarize her with snow pants, but they didn't. Instead they placed a false label on her, one they were not qualified to give her, and told us we needed to pick her up early. This school is NOTHING like the other experiences we have had with Montessori. They benefit from having zero competition and being able to distort and alter the teachings and methods they claim to use. Go anywhere else. My daughter went to the YMCA after this and was MUCH happier.

Both my girls have attended Rock Prairie Montessori and I can’t say enough about how amazing the staff and the curriculum are! The children learn about a variety of things other then math and reading, such as other cultures and personal independence. You can tell the teachers really care about the children and their experiences. They do an amazing job at communicating with parents and finding ways to make your child feel comfortable and doing what is best for the child. I couldn’t imagine any other place I’d fully trust my younger children to be as much as I do at Rock Prairie!!

Our daughter attended Rock Prairie Montessori and everything that this school offers is top notch. The facility is beautiful with large windows in every room, a massive gym, and a great outdoor play area. The teachers/guides work with your child and create an awesome environment. As a testimony, Ms. Monica even taught our 3-year-old daughter to meditate and slow breath 3 deep breaths to calm down. That alone deserves 5 stars. As a comparison my nephew attends the top Montessori school in Portland, OR and my sister and brother-in-law expressed that Rock Prairie Montessori has a beautiful campus and programs and activities that even they do not have. Regardless, this is a great school with great staff.
