Rainbow Montessori Learning Center - Lee's Summit

Rainbow Montessori has helped me raise my two children starting at the age of 2. The owner, Ivonne, has helped coach me and lead me in the right parenting direction on so many different occasions. I recommend them to all parents starting out trying to find the right place to take their children. The women here take care of the babies as their own and always lead them in the right direction. I owe so much to this school for helping my kids grow and will forever be grateful.

Rainbow Montessori is by far the best preschool in the area. The teachers and directors care about each and every child. They are taught both academics and practical life skills, and even Spanish! I highly recommend Rainbow Montessori!

My kids have gone here since they were 2. As an educator myself, choosing my children's preschool was a very big choice. While I was not sure Montessori was going to be the route we desired, we are SO happy we did. Rainbow Montessori teachers have prepared our children for their future's and beyond. They foster and encourage curiosity for their students, they are hands on learning daily, and my kids absolutely LOVE their caretakers. Our children eat real food every day, play outside, explore, and have a great day every single day. Rainbow is very accommodating with all schedules as well which has saved us a couple of times when our own schedules got crazy. Rainbow Montessori will be your best choice for your child should you choose to send your own here. We are so happy we did.

My 4 year old daughter hated it here. I regret making her stay as long as we did. She was asked to leave this school/expelled because the staff didn’t want to work with her “misbehavior” any longer. This was in 2019-2020. They expect very disciplined children, which my daughter is not, or was not enough for THIS school. They told me to take her to a psychologist for behavior… I did and guess what?! She’s totally fine, no add/adhd/behavior issues. Makes me wonder what really went on at Rainbow Montessori while I was not there…. She was physically held down by the staff there on multiple occasions while she “threw fits” and “hit”, they claimed. She was not the only kid who completely flipped out when being left there by their parent either. Bad Vibes!! They also expect the kids to eat beans and onions and other foods that my daughter refused and when I asked for another option or to even just bring her her own lunch form home, the answer was always NO, so my daughter was hungry a lot of the times. Which most likely played into her “misbehavior”. The director, Chad, was dramatic and hard to deal with, he himself has no kids so I don’t think he gets it, and he just acted “bitchy” to me 24/7. We left this place after many tears and strife! We went to Winterset Montessori and guess what?? NO ISSUES AT ALL- she loved it! And now we’re past kindergarten (again, NO ISSUES) and onto first grade. No thanks to Rainbow Montessori. This place stuck with me, and all this time I’ve meant to leave a review. Pass this place! Your child will be much happier elsewhere.

My daughters attended Rainbow Montessori for just greater than 1 year. The owner, Ivonne and her teachers Ms. Luz, Ms. Vanessa, Ms. Ada, Ms. Lupa and Ms Carla to name a few are amazing. My daughters loved them and they treated, educated and worked with each of them as if they felt the same. My husband and I wish we had found Rainbow Montesori Preschool sooner and hated that we had to leave do to relocating. If you are looking for a preschool where your child will thrieve than I highlt recommend giving Ms. Ivonne a call to discuss what she and her staff could offer your child.

My daughter attended a rainbow to get ready for preschool. The team was great accommodating her needs and was very patient in working to get her on track. They also were incredibly flexible allowing my oldest daughter to attend on non-school days.

My family and I cannot say enough kind words about this Montessori preschool. We have two daughters who attended Rainbow Montessori, and we have experience with them over the past three years. Our older two children attended other preschools, and by far Rainbow has been THE BEST. Ms. Ivonne, the Director, is so caring, and the teachers are inclusive of all students. Ms. Ivonne is very willing to work with our variable work schedules and need for preschool. We love their curriculum, and our girls have learned so much while there. They are more than prepared for school, and we've noticed that often what our girls are learning at Rainbow is what Kindergarten and first grade students are learning in elementary school. They have become like family to us, and we are all so sad to have graduated. From experience, we promise you will not find a better preschool.
