Montessori Academy of Morton Grove

After spending 16 months "homeschooling" my son due to the pandemic, I was given no option to work from home any longer and began the search for finding a new center for my 4 year old son in April 2021. The communication at MAMG was outstanding from start to finish! Open communication and a way to send messages to the academy was the most important thing for me. From the BrightWheel app, to the conversations with the teachers at drop off/pick up time, you could tell that our child was not a number, but an individual to them. I especially loved how our son started learning how to clean up his own plate, re-learned how to make friends with kids his age (thanks, Covid), music lessons, SoccerShots, and the variety of presentations from the fire department, police department, and even an exotic animal center. The only reason I had to transfer my son to a new center was because my new job offered onsite daycare and it would save time with one less commute. I'm still sad he's not at MAMG and will forever be grateful for their services, communication, and unique learning experiences. Thank you, MAMG Team!! We miss you!

Our daughters started going to Montessori Academy of Morton Grove (MAMG) in 2018. At this juncture we have experienced a child in all 3 classrooms, infant, toddler, and the primary class. Overall, my girls have had a wonderful learning experience. They have grown emotionally, socially, and academically at MAMG. The administration communicates well and is transparent.

We have had all three of our children attend MAMG so have experienced the infant, toddler, and primary classrooms over the past 2-3 years. All three rooms have been wonderful and our kids have flourished with the oldest now doing great amongst her peers in public school. I call that out to counter any fear of missing out on “traditional” preschool experience with focus on instructor-directed learning in favor of a Montessori education (both options are great!). Initially switching from another traditional daycare, the smaller size of the school created a much more intimate atmosphere and strong connection between the teachers and students. The teachers and leadership are devoted to the school and hold several events to allow the MAMG community to gather (pre-pandemic, of course…) – summer picnic and winder holiday musical among others. MAMG leverages modern platforms (Brightwheel) for ease of communication and payment for parents but keeps the learning experience focused on real-world, hands-on learning for the kids. Overall a fantastic environment with a diverse group of students and staff that will truly care for your child and help them grow to be a wonderful little human.

The school and teachers are nothing but fantastic! We started about 2 years ago in the infant room and have transitioned through to the early childhood program. The teachers are honest and caring. They keep you informed and provide feedback on how things are going. The school has been especially great during Covid and doing everything they can to keep everyone safe.

We started our son there in June 2020 and we could not be happier. My son is almost 3 and he has learned so much its Amazing. They teachers Truly are the Best and are so communicative with us and it is so appreciated. Our son has made so many little friends its so great to see him talk about them daily. We can not wait to see our son grow daily and we have MAMG to thank. Don't hesitate to send your child here you will not regret it. Its a Wonderful place!

We are grateful we found MAMG! Our 17 month old has been at MAMG for about a month now and we are so pleased. The care and personal attention really stood out to us here. The director and teachers have all been so caring and supportive in helping him adjust to the new environment and he is doing great! He is already gaining new skills and independence with all of the enriching activities and encouragement he gets at school. We also feel safe with their COVID safety protocols and clear communication with parents. Highly recommend!

Our little boy has loved MAMG since he first started a year and a half ago. He shouts “school time!” in excitement every morning, and can’t wait to start on his morning work. The facility is very clean and communication is great. I love using the Brightwheel app to see what he’s up to during the day!

I enrolled my child in the infant room when he was 15 months old in October of 2020 amid the COVID fears after moving to the area. I was very excited that I found this school and there was an opening that aligned with our timing as well as the Montessori approach to education. This was our first experience in a classroom setting and our nerves were high. Not only was the transition smooth for my child, but it was also exceptional for the parents. There were a few hiccups in on-boarding, likely due to the extra stress and situation of COVID, but everything was easily fixed and approached with grace. The infant teacher, Miss Ivette, is warm, kind, and responsive. The head of the school, Miss Natasha, is fast to respond, insightful, and helpful. All teachers have been very open to discussing anything: sleeping, eating, learning, etc., and working together on solutions. My child has been at the school for four months and transitioned into the toddler room this past month. We're pleased with the care, the growth we've seen and look forward to becoming a part of the school’s community. ❤️
