Marlboro Montessori is such a fantastic school. Between the amazing staff, the comfortable environment, and the way my children simply thrive here, it was the best decision we could have made for our kids. I love that our children are able to learn through creativity, and at their own pace. Miss Regina makes class so much fun with new and inventive ways to teach important lessons. My children always walk in and out of school with a smile from ear to ear.

I do not normally write bad reviews but I feel it's my duty as a mother to share my experience with other parents about this school. We scheduled a visit to MMA and were greeted and shown around by Mr. Michael who was warm and funny. The school is beautiful, clean and has great outdoor space. But... a school is only as good as its Director. Both my son and I had an uncomfortable feeling in our stomachs after meeting her. Perfect on the outside but she had hard and cold energy that spilled over. She started with talking bad about other alternative private schools. She showed clear discomfort and control issues over that my son has lots of energy, that he felt free to ask questions and that he was curious about the buttons on a remote control. After our visit she and the front staff was rude rolling their eyes demanded previous school records due to strange noises that he had made and said my son needed special ed. I remember him being playful and imitating a cat and a pig at one point, apart from that he was as sweet as always. Showing his records (which are impeccable on all levels) would of course not be a problem but rather a normal procedure. I chose instead to look for another school where he would not be moulded to fit what seem to be her narrow mindset and judged for just being a playful child.

I want to thank Jean, Mrs. Regina, and the staff for providing my daughter with a "normal" school year with lots of learning and fun. There is a real sense of family within Montessori Marlboro. Now we are back for camp and my daughter is absolutely loving it!!!

Two words - labor shortage. My sons’ mother visited the school last week. We decided to send our sons there and I went on Friday to make the payment and register. A teenager described herself as a teacher’s daughter and said she was working there for the Summer to help her mother. The message received on Friday was that the person in charge of registration was off on Friday and could not take my payment to register my children. I was told to return on Monday to wrap up the registration process and to bring my kids, because they could start on the same day. Skip ahead to Monday, the kids were ready, and the kids and I showed up at the school. The teacher looked exasperated and told me that she couldn’t take my sons, because classes were too full. *Shrug*

If there is only one word I could use to describe this school, the faculty, the owner, and most importantly the children it would be happiness. Several of my children have had the privilege of attending Marlboro Montessori but it truly is so much more than just a place where children learn. When I think about this past school year and everything our children have dealt with there has been so much anger, fear, confusion and stress. Knowing that my children were in place where the staff were able to give them the attention they needed I can only say I wish every child had the chance to experience the same kind of learning environment because when children enjoy where they learn and who they learn with that is when they learn at their very best. If you are considering a place where your child will learn and grow not just as a student but in all aspects look no further.

Marlboro Montessori has been a wonderful experience for my 3 year old daughter. We had attended another local Montessori school prior, and although we had an overall pleasant experience, there were some negatives that made my want to switch schools. Since we made the change, I wish we had done it sooner! When I came to Marlboro, I walked in with no appointment because I wanted to get some information to take home. I was greeted with a smile and was given an entire tour and I was there for over an hour. They literally dropped whatever they were doing. I was impressed. I met the director that day and the school itself felt like home. I felt like I was in my mothers house growing up. Very warm, cozy, lots of different areas for the children to learn. In my daughters prior school, there were 2 rooms the children would be in: their main classroom or the gym. If the weather were nice, there was an outdoor area with a couple of play areas for the children. At Marlboro, they have a couple of buildings. The children have their classroom but they also have a separate library, a kitchen for cooking, an upstairs geography area, not to mention an entire outdoor 4 acre property with splash parks, an outdoor kitchen, a pool, and several playgrounds! My daughter refers to it as "the park". There is room for your child to grow and continue to love learning. The director Jean Avery is so warm and I will never forget our first day. I was so nervous my daughter was going to start crying and not understanding this change and why we were at a new school. Jean greeted us at the door and walked my daughter and I back to her classroom where I met her teacher. Jean called me that afternoon to let me know how my daughter was doing. The communication is wonderful and it's key. The drop-off and pickup are so easy! You don't have to get out of your car which in bad weather makes it a plus. I observed during our first few weeks the communication between all of the teachers - they all worked together as a team. They all help each other especially with drop off and pick up. Miss Jennifer is my daughter's teacher and she communicates with us constantly through an app. I can text her, she sends us photos so we can see what the kids are up to during the day, etc. This has come in especially handy during this uncertain time with COVID19 because she is able to send lessons and communicate easily with the parents. She is a wonderful teacher and my daughter loves her and Miss Vera! Marlboro has been extremely generous throughout this whole pandemic and I can not say enough good things about them. I can't wait until schools are open again so my daughter can go back to this wonderful learning environment.

Our family couldn’t be more pleased!! An exceptional educational foundation for our children!!! Both our daughter & son have thrived socially, emotionally & most importantly educationally through the Marlboro Montessori Adacamy program. The teachers & staff who have mostly been there for more than 15 years plus, have become like family. We wouldn’t entrust our children to any one else!! You must ask for a school tour!!!

Since I graduated MMA in 1979, the legacy of Marlboro Montessori has remained with me. It started me on a journey to higher degrees from Yale and Oxford through the personal agency and curiosity Marlboro Montessori fosters. All four of my children have attended. They loved their caring teachers and the rigorous curriculum that respects and challenges each student and age group. The teachers are truly exceptional at what they do and are so dedicated. You cannot trump experience and MMA has forty years of proven results. As a professional in the educational field, I give it 5 stars!

Marlboro Montessori is a wonderful school. The staff is amazing and they make you feel so comfortable leaving your child with them. My older son attened school there for the past 4 years and has some challenges developmentally. They were always flexible with him and worked with him so he could be successful. The curriculum is also incredible. As a kindergartner he was doing 1st and 2nd grade work. I honestly can not say enough good things about them!

I highly recommend the Marlboro Montessori academy! Our two children have truly blossomed over the past year academically, socially and emotionally. I am thankful for the kind and attentive teachers and staff who have fostered our children to be smart, independent, creative and inquisitive. We kept them there for the summer where they enjoyed the splash park and daily swimming. We were amazed how Our four year old learned how to swim by the end of the summer.
