Lavalette Montessori Institute

Completely agree with some of the previous reviews, and if you notice the only positive reviews are from 7 years ago at the same time! This place is not conducive to a child's development in an independent way, as the Montessori style really is. Through thorough investigating and hiring a private investigator we found that they are not an actual Montessori school simply by the rules and restrictions they follow. Required uniforms, which through our investigation are bought at an extreme discount with poor quality fabrics then sold to the parents as a requirement for $70+ per uniform. A real certified Montessori would never require uniforms because the teaching of Maria Montessori is about being independent and doing things at your own pace. On top of that, all of the kids are rewarded with nothing but candy sugar and unhealthy treats whenever there is an event. Oh and then there is there lunch schedule if you choose to go that route, it consists of Pizza, Tamales, tacos from Rochas (low quality), and Chick fill-a. Then on top of that their failure to report and acknowledge multiple incidents with two of our kids , one was bitten on the shoulder and was crying but they brushed it off as they were busy with one of the students. Then another where our older child was grabbed by the arm multiple times by another kid saying a he wanted to rip his skin off and eat his arm. Again, they played it off as kids being kids, not knowing or concerned that these type of words affect a child. They honestly don't care about your children's safety and development. It's a business for them. Unfortunately they can put the Montessori name in front of their " school" because it's not protected or patented. Rest assured this is not a real Montessori, independent background checks revealed most of the teachers there, which some are great, are not able to qualify to teach at an accredited school so they end up here. Honestly unless you are OK with kids lacking attention, develop at their own peace, and want them to have healthy eating habits. Avoid this place at all costs. They are currently under investigation and probably won't be around much longer. Good luck parents. There are other great schools for young kids around here that actually follow the program rather than just sticking a name in front of what they are for credibility Oh one more edit parents: please for the safety of your child look at other options. If the 7 year old reviews by their own employees isn't enough, look for more recent reviews. PSS: AGAIN NOTICE THE POSITIVE REVIEWS COME AT THE SAME TIME FROM FAMILY MEMBERS OF UNQUALIFIED EMPLOYEES AND STAFF. PLEASE KEEP YOUR CHILDREN OUT OF THIS PLACE AS IT IS UNDER INVESTIGATION AND NOT A CERTIFIED MONTESSORI. THEY DON'T REPORT INCIDENTS AND SCAM EVERY WAY THEY CAN. I CANNOT SAY ANYTHING POSITIVE ABOUT THE WAY THIS IS RUN AS IT WAS ALL BAD. FOR THE FUTURE OF YOUR CHILDREN WE NEED TO LET THE INVESTIGATION PROCEED AND SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN. THANK YOU!

We have been very fortunate to have our children in Lavalette Montessori. The staff is great and welcoming to all students. They have a bilingual curriculum, so our kids reinforce their Spanish while learning English. The school is always clean and well maintained.

Lavalette has truly been an amazing experience. When we moved a couple of years ago to the area, I worried we wouldn't find a school that treated my daughter like their own child and she wouldn't get the personalized care we had been receiving at our previous school. My daughter's smile and excitement at the beginning and end of each day, speak volumes of the care she's receiving. The guides keep me posted on her progress and everyone is so kind and caring towards her and our family. When it came time to enroll my second child, there was no looking elsewhere! We love it here!!!

Nuestra familia se siente segura. Siendo la primera interacción escolar a nuestros hijos, la transición casa-escuela fue muy suave y con mucho amor,. fomentan un ambiente positivo que motiva el desarrollo de cada personalidad. La independencia que desarrollaron mis hijos fue muy evidente en comparación con otros niños que fueron educados en otros lugares, a su vez el interés por las tareas del hogar, orden y cuestionamiento fue muy relevante. Recomendamos totalmente al instituto. Llevamos casi 4 años seguidos y desearíamos que continuara hasta elementary school🙏🏻

I was recommended to Lavalette after a very bad experience in another school and I am so happy I was introduced there. My family and I are endlessly thankful to Mrs Rocio and her excellent team, truly everyone that you encounter from the entrance to a classroom is exceptional. My son has learned so much and enjoys going to school. The teachers care for the kids with love, you can truly feel a safe environment for your kids. Any doubt or concern they are happy to help at all times, great communication is always available and as a mom of a toddler that is highly appreciated. I recommend Lavalette to all my friends with toddlers.
