This school has been a godsend for our son. My wife and I have known for years that the conventional approach to education is fundamentally wrong. ALA engages in the best ways to learn, including peer-to-peer learning, the Socratic method, self-paced and self-guided learning, as well as self-directed focus. Each child is encouraged to find what ignites their passion and follow it as far as they want. Our son has flourished. Family members and friends have told us how much he's come out of his shell this past year and how much more confident he is. Jeremy Molly and his team love the kids and are committed to doing what's best for each of the students individually. My only regret is that ALA didn't exist when our oldest child was in school.

Active Leadership Academy has been a great decision for our family. I love the way that the teach kids how to think and not what to think. It's refreshing seeing children actually thinking for themselves, and solving problems themselves without having to rely on an adult. They have a very good balance of teaching core skills and real world skills.

Our daughter just completed her first year (6th grade) at ALA. The growth we’ve seen in her is nothing short of amazing. We’ve relished in watching her hone her leadership and public speaking skills, learning to take accountability, and actually enjoy going to school every day. It is not a traditional learning environment, and it’s not a perfect fit for every child/family. Our daughter tends to learn best by engaging, experiencing. She has taken home many of the interests she’s been introduced to at ALA, including gardening and raising chickens (yes, we now have SIX chickens). Gone are the days of memorizing information, just to forget it six weeks later. We’ve found her to be more responsible not only in her everyday life, but also with setting and reaching the academic goals she sets every nine weeks. She’s even enjoying book reading for pleasure! The relationships she’s cultivated at ALA with other students of all ages and backgrounds has been a beautiful thing to witness. These kids work incredibly well together and it’s teaching them invaluable lessons in teamwork, learning to collaborate productively to find solutions to problems, as well as effective conflict resolution. We love our ALA family and look forward to another successful year!

Acton is simply amazing. It is the best private school option you could ever find for your child. Our family can’t recommend it enough.

If you want a school that teaches independent thinking, team building, responsibility and growth while having fun with learning this is the school for you. It’s not your traditional school and that’s what we enjoyed for our son. He loved how everyone got along, small class size and opportunities to have experts in the areas from literature to science.

Words cannot express how happy I am that my children have the opportunity to attend Active Leadership Academy. If you are unhappy with what standard education has to offer your children, then look no farther. If you are looking for a place that fosters independence, problem solving, emotional intelligence, and a growth mindset, then this is where you want your children to be.

Our daughter just finished up her first year at ALA. She’s five years old. I cannot say enough great things about this school! Our daughter has gained so much confidence, learned how to work in a team environment with a diverse age group, learned how to set goals and work on her time management skills. She’s been able to learn first hand from experts in a variety of fields. The guides (teachers) are absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this school.
