I went in for a tour and the facility was very clean and well organized. It smells like food when you walk through the door. Upon arrival the main door is LOCKED. They would have to buzz you in (great start) we were giving a tour by what I now know of as the Assistant which I thought was the director but she never introduced herself until the end and the director never introduced herself at all and she was up front as well. (Bad start & finish) I like the small classrooms, student to teacher ratio and the fact that the parents can have access to see their children through cameras at any moment your child is there ( huge plus). The assistant was friendly but she wasn’t “giving” what I was looking for, so that I felt comfortable leaving my child there so we will try a different Montessori. Also there was a diverse group of kids( which I love)

My five year old has been going to AMS for the last three years. We started him in the three day a week program and have really been impressed with their progress. He is is about to start kindergarten and there is no doubt in my mind he is extremely prepared for it. Ms. April is his teacher and we absolutely adore her. Her communication to the parents is quick and efficient. On his very first day in her class she sent me a quick email on her lunch break just letting me know that he was having a great day and had made two new friends. That absolutely calms a mothers heart to get a mid day update like that! My three year old has been attending here for a little over a year and started out in the toddler class and was switched to the primary class once he turned three. His teach Ms. Vanessa is phenomenal. She is patient, kind, fun and firm which is exactly what he needs. When my son started here the communication from the admin was extremely lacking, but over the last year a couple new admins started at AMS and the communication has been greatly improved! Overall I highly recommend AMS and if you can get your kiddo in Ms. April or Ms. Vanessa's class you will not regret it! Also, Chef Dottie prepares wonderful snacks and lunches for the kiddos each day. This has really improved my kids willingness to try new foods at home as well!

Our daughter attends AMS and we couldn't be more pleased. She is flourishing. This is an exceptional school with exceptional staff!

We switched our 3 year old son from a Primrose school and wish we had done so sooner. Ms. April and Ms. Gabbie are amazing with the class! Either of them can EXTREMELY QUIETLY ring a bell and the entire class stops what they’re doing and their attention is on the teacher. The teachers speak to the children so calmly and the students respond so well, it’s wonderful. There is so much structure and support in the class. My son has loved going to school since his first day, August 1, 2019 and has NOT had one bad day. He has not picked up any bad habits from classmates which was a problem at primrose.

In response to the below comment and 1 star rating: Atascocita Montesorri school is one of the most highly rated schools in the area (see the 4.9 rating). The reason, as many can attest to and you can read below, is that it focuses on a structure fitting for the next level of schooling. This is not a day care or facility of that nature. This is an investment into the future of your kids. My 2 daughters currently attend AMS. The first will attend KG this August and the other about to hit 2. The 5 year old has tested at a 1st grade level and the 2 year old is now learning numbers and alphabet, almost completing potty training. The school is remarkable in shaping kids. Both were immediately pulled from Primrose and moved to AMS once they hit 18 months. To correct the "TV" response, here is the truth. The kids are allowed to watch TV....when it is raining outside and after 4:30 pm. That is when the teachers leave for the day and the "after school" program begins. You can not fault a school for letting a handful of students watch TV when there is no other options. Which, fyi, they are allowed to choose "practical life" or other activity. However, it does have it faults like all other schools. Will your child get sick, yes. Will it come in contact with another student who is sick, yes. Will the rare instance of a scratch happen, yes. It is not perfect but pretty close. Secondly, when you sign up at AMS you are immediately notified and then you sign documents that your bank account will be auto drafted the full month payment. This is done via a 3rd party entity. The school does not control it. Therefore, when the school tells you to put a 30 day notice in and to go into the account and cancel the autopay, you should probably do so. This will remove any issue of "improper payments." Lastly, the entire school cares for the students as if they are their own kids. I can not tell you enough about how much the teachers and staff care for my girls. When I pick them up, its a struggle to get them to leave. I am pretty sure that means something. My 5 year old enjoys going to school every day, often times leaving me at the door to run to see Ms. Vanessa. Again, take the below message with a grain of salt. It is an overly emotional response, asinine insinuations, and slander. This was another platform that this individual and her family decided to litter with crazy acquisitions. (and to think you are running for a political position of power)
