Dear Lucy As you now know Jem has been selected as the KZN Rhodes Scholar elect. My memories rush back to the begining of his learning journey to Oceanview, to the incredible staff and dedicated teachers. Oceanview was instrumental in nurturing his love and insatiable curiosity for learning. An incredible school that really lives up to moto "small school, big heart". We've been part of the Ocean View family for 5 years and are so grateful for the amazing part they have played in our 3 children's lives. The Ocean View teachers are all exceptionally talented, caring people driven by a passion for children and learning. From the toddler group through preschool and into the primary phase, we are constantly amazed at the innovative approach to education and caring environment. Ocean View's focus is on providing self confident, self disciplined children with an awareness of other people and the environment. The Montessori education system makes complicated concepts concrete so that learners understand and can easily move onto the abstract. From pre-school phase, children not only learn literacy and numeracy but also include social studies & science with a strong focus on environmental awareness. Ocean View is more than just a school, its a home away from home for our children. I cannot recommend Ocean View highly enough!

A big thank you to Oceanview Montessori for giving both my kids a secure and joyful environment to thrive. We loved the fact that they could move freely as their interests evolved. We have enjoyed the method of them learning through materials. I would highly recommend this lovely school♥️.

We have spent 5 years in OVM and the level of dedication from the teachers is exceptional. It is truly a family!! The planning that goes on for special occasions, art displays, excursions, year end shows and the different sports is amazing. I could not have chosen a better school that teaches both parent and child. My daughter loves going to school every day.

This is such an amazing little school. It's like a family and a very nurturing, homely environment. Both my kids were very happy there and developed a lot of confidence. They also looked forward to school each day because the learning process is so engaging and fun. When they joined a mainstream school in grade 4, both were far ahead of their contemporaries in all subjects.

I love the whole ethos of this incredible school - small school with the biggest heart. They celebrate each child for exactly who they are, and value a Montessori-led education weaved into a lens focused on nature and the environment. Every teacher is kind and caring. Highly recommend!

An amazing school ans staff. Genuinely caring for not only the child's education but their overall happiness and well being. My family went through some personal hardship and the teachers and staff were so supportive and went above and beyond.
