Little Shack Montessori

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank Megan and Memory for all your amazing input into my little boy. He has really flourished into an amazing little man and I've just seen him grow from strength to strength. We absolutely love your School and I personally would recommend Little Shack to any parents looking for a loving and caring pre-school. Even though we sadly had to leave due to unforeseen circumstances, Little Shack will always be considered a home away from home!!

My daughter just loves school! Megan and Memory are amazing with the little ones and I am so happy to that my daughter has fun, safe and educational space to spend her days. Highly recommend Little Shack as a wonderful school and community.

Both of our girls have attended this amazing school, with the oldest having now "graduated" and moved to big school. Our girls absolutely love the school and teachers Megan and Memory truly are amazing with the kids. We could not have asked for a better place for our girls to go and play and learn.

Teacher Megan & her staff are so kind & gentle with our little guy. It makes it so much easier dropping him off knowing he is in good hands. The activities are well thought out & improve problem solving as well as hand eye coordination to name a few.

We initially started attending Little Shack for the Music Box classes while our son was still at home. Our son absolutely loved this class and it was such a nice bonding time for me (or our nanny) and him too. Now that we have our son attending full time we can see how much care and love Megan and Memory have for the kids. Little Shack is a gentle environment that I feel made the transition to school for my son a lot easier. We have seen how our son has learnt and developed so quickly with being exposed to so many different types of activities at the school (music box still being his favourite). We love that the school supports us with our cloth nappies, that we can send our son with food that we like him to eat and that the smaller size of the class and variation of the ages of the kids allows for our son to get proper focus time and learn from kids older than him. We feel like Little Shack is our sons home away from home and appreciate all the effort and care from Megan and Memory that went into helping our son transition into the school. We love Little Shack and our son certainly loves it too.

My 3 year old toddler has been going to Little Shack Montessori for over a year now and I can honestly say that he is happiest little guy when he goes to school. He loves his friends and his teachers. My personal highlights are the fact that Little Shack supported our cloth diapering journey, they warm up his food during lunch time so that he can have a nice warm meal, there’s extracurricular activities (i.e. Music Box and Tumbling Tigerz) and fun activities (baking, arts & crafts, etc) to look forward to. It has amazing teacher to student ratio (1 to 4) which means that the children get the love and care they need. There’s plenty of outdoor play time but also quiet indoor activity (i.e. work time) following Montessori principles, the child can choose the activity he/she wants to focus on, thus supporting their intrinsic motivation. They were also very supportive during the potty training phase which helped us potty train successfully fairly quickly. Ah did I also mention that they are the only ones able to put my child down to sleep in record time? Due to its small size, most parents know each other and all the children’s names, creating a sense of community. I honestly cannot recommend Little Shack highly enough. If you’re looking for a small and nurturing environment for your young toddler look no further!

Such a wonderful, nurturing, fun little school. It really is like a second family to our little girl. Megan and Memory are truly special and we are so grateful to have found them.
