Kids Company Integrated Montessori & Traditional Preschool

Montessori in name only: Most of the staff at Kids Co are not Montessori trained or qualified as per their website and parent handbook. The two staff members who claim to be qualified form part of management. Not Montessori accredited: Kids Co is not affiliated with the South African Montessori Association. (SAMA's website) Language of instruction: Classes, lessons and instructions are presented mainly in English. They misrepresent that they accommodate Afrikaans speaking children. High staff turn over: An alarming amount of staff members have left the school in the last 4 years.

Two of my kids attended Kids Company (Stellenbosch campus) and we have fond memories of the school. Owner Justine sets the tone - she has a passion for children and really understands child development and this carries through to all the teachers as well. Teacher Zirelda, Marian and Tanya - thank you for the amazing teachers you were to our kiddos.

Home away from home! The most wonderful environment and teachers that we could ever ask for. Our little man is so very happy at ‘school’ and he has grown in leaps and bounds since we started. As an educator, sending my own kids to a school was one of the hardest decisions I had to make, but once I discovered this school, I knew I could entrust my children's holistic development to the staff- handing that day shift of motherhood over also,which is quite intense for a mom who knows the importance of investing in a child's early years. The hybrid methods are perfect for the ages at the school. The transparency with parents is ideal. The classrooms and playground is versatile and safe, with ample supervision at all times. It is a secure safe space for my kids which gives me peace of mind while I'm not around. Definitely a great decision for kids to prep for grade one, eventually, but more importantly -to set them up for life.
