Montessori at Otari Preschool

Wonderful preschool! My children have been attending it for over two years now. They have developed great confidence in their own abilities, grown in curiosity and creativity, and skills of caring for others and their environment. The teachers deliver the very best of the Montessori method here! It’s a greta community of parents to be part of too. Highly recommend the Otari preschool!

The staff and facilities at Montessori at Otari Preschool are amazing. Our 3-year-old is thriving under their care despite having very little English to assist her/them. The Montessori methodology instills a sense of belonging and purpose, which means our daughter has felt like a valued part of the school from Day 1, even with the communication barrier. We have seen a surge of independence and confidence both at home and in the outside world. Our sincere thanks and praise to the dedicated staff and board of Montessori at Otari Preschool!

My oldest son has been attending Montessori at Otari Preschool for the last few months and we absolutely love it. He settled in so quickly and happily thanks to the amazing care from the staff and teachers. He loves going every morning. We also are part of the playgroup, which has been such a great introduction to the Montessori approach and set my son up beautifully for preschool, and now my youngest is there too. The preschool and playgroup have a warm and welcoming sense of community among the parents, teachers and children, and we feel very lucky to be a part of this special place!

We moved our son from daycare to Montessori at Otari and are so grateful we made the switch. We were unsure how we'd manage the shorter hours with both of us working, but with a bit of help and flexibity at work it was easy and well worth the change of pace. The preschool has been fantastic. The highly skilled, nuturing teaching staff make genuine connections with each of the children and foster a wonderful love of learning. Our son has grown his self-confidence, built strong friendships, and started school with an awesome foundation.

Montessori at Otari is a great preschool, managed by a wonderful leader, Florence. We feel very fortunate to be part of it. The dedicated teachers with wealth of knowledge and experience in the Montessori approach are extremely helpful and keep parents well informed of the child’s development and wellbeing. The preschool has a vibrant and multicultural community which we felt very welcome by, coming from Auckland over a year ago. It also offers a playgroup for younger children (0-3yo) which we are also a part of. Surrounded by the Otari hills, it has a lovely village feel. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a high-quality community-focused Montessori education.
