Simone is one of the kindest teachers I have ever met. Her toddler room is beautiful - the space is very welcoming, providing beautiful opportunities for children to work according to their needs and interests. Definitely recommended.

I’m grateful to have had both of my sons go to Jacaranda Tree from when they were babies until 4. Simone has created a peaceful Montessori environment & warm community where both children and parents learn together. Since she keeps materials that encourage specific skills, I was able to observe my sons continually practice to improve. I also loved that they appreciated beauty - flower arranging was one of their favorite activities. Being part of the Jacaranda Tree community has been one of our favorite parts of living in Amsterdam

I would never be able to find the right words to describe how important the Jacaranda and Simone Davies playgroup are to our family. Simone is supportive and kind and she is just special. I started bringing my son to Jacaranda when he was 10 months old until he was almost 4 years old and we really enjoyed it. very much indeed. It's hard to say who liked more, me or him. Every week we learn more and more. I learned to observe my son, to follow him, to trust him... it's beautiful to see how independent and confident toddlers are when they are respected and listened to. I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to be in such an inspiring and welcoming environment. I met incredible people and it was an amazing experience. Thanks Simone

Were really happy with the decision to take our daughter to Jacaranda Tree Montessori in Amsterdam. The atmosphere and space Simone has created is extremely welcoming and conveniently located. From the very first sessions we felt like part of that community. The parents and children there are from all over the world and of course the Netherlands so it’s very cosmopolitan. We experienced that our daughter had a calmer manner and focused for longer in each activity after only a few weeks and as parents we also really enjoyed the interaction and the chance to be with her along the way which is not possible in the same way at daycare or preschool. She plays more independently, is helping out with chores at home as much as possible and loves to have a family sing along! All because of the influence of a weekly activity paired with implementing the same principles at home. Simone is a poised and stoic person that guides children and parents to their journey. Simone is also doing a Pod cast that both me and my husband got some great parenting tips from that when we tried the advice with our 3 year old daughter worked instantly! Definitely worth a listen. Thank you Simone!

We've been going to classes there since 2019 and we love it! My daughter has definitely created wonderful memories and learned a lot of new skills. The environment is well thought out following Montessori principles, it's a calming and inviting atmosphere, the activities are engaging and it is an overall captivating place good for children and the parents, who are also invited to participate and learn, by observing their children without distractions. For me it has been amazing to be part of it, since it has taught me so much about my daughter and about Montessori ideas. Simone is very knowledgeable and is able to guide both parents and children in a calming manner with genuine care and respect, and also able to transmit her knowledge with expertise by giving timely advice and tips. It's a wonderful place to bring my daughters to. Thanks Simone!

I have been bringing my son here for getting on for two years now. It is right across the other side of town for us but we very rarely miss it. Simone has created an amazingly safe, warm, productive and relaxed environment and I honestly look forward to it every week. The toddler and pre-school years are wonderful but they can also be very difficult... This is a place that is non-judgemental and that allows children to focus on whatever it is that they are interested in. I have personally learned a great deal about giving my child independence, space and respect. I have also encountered many ideas about bringing up children that I would have missed otherwise, not least the Montessori method itself, which I initially knew almost nothing about. My son has just been accepted at a local Montessori school, in great part because of Jacaranda. I also believe my relationship with my son is a great deal stronger because of it. Above all though, my son has so much fun coming here every week, and so do I!

... And we continue to love it! Simone has been a friend, philosopher and guide through all my epic parental trials and tribulations and we are on to round 2 with our second one at the JacTree now...I see the tangible benefits of having been there with my elder child who is now in a Montessori Basisschool...she fit right in.
