We had our daughter at Mouse after looking after her at home for three years and couldn’t have imagined a better experience. The teachers are amazing and experienced. From the very first day, the head teacher told us that they would always have the kids needs as priority, and they kept their word. I love that they spend so much time outdoors, and our daughter’s first words at pick up were always: today was such a good day! As an eltern initiative, it depends totally on the parents involved to be run efficiently so it can be a bit of a lottery. During our time, we did experienced major issues caused by a parent, thankfully they have now on moved onto a heavenly place and things are back on track. Overall, we carry fond memories of our time at Mouse, the teachers made it a memorable year for our daughter and we are still in touch with some families we met there.

We recently enrolled our child in MAUS e.V., but unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. The onboarding process was extremely slow and unstructured. Despite our son having 2.5 years of nursery experience, the first two weeks were limited to just one hour a day, with no gradual separation from us as parents or extension of his stay. The initial onboarding took place outside on the playground, which might have made it harder for our son to get to know the other children. In such a large, open space, the children tended to run around, making it more challenging for him to connect with his peers compared to a more cozy, sheltered indoor environment with toys and familiar activities. Additionally, no effort was made to inquire about our son's previous experience or to get to know him better, which was concerning. Communication from the teachers felt unprofessional, random, and lacking in transparency. We were also surprised that the kindergarten doesn't offer regular excursions or special activities like children’s yoga or Rhythmik, which are commonly found in similar institutions. During the six-week probation period, we have been asked to leave and ultimately decided to do so. Unfortunately, when we raised concerns, the teachers responded defensively, and we sensed tension from past issues with other parents, making us feel unwelcome as new parents. All in all, the experience fell far short of our expectations.
