Montessori-Stiftung Berlin

I strongly advice any parent to not work / join / interact in any way possible with the Montessori Stiftung. Intransparenz and zero communication that is toward constructive exchange. The years my son spent at DSG, managed by the foundation, where for him the worst school years possible - I believe in the concept of Montessori but this here is a joke.

Horrible people

Montessori Stiftung nutzt auf miese Art und Weise Gesetze auf auf den Rücken von Familien, Kinder und Angestellte aus. Diese wertefreie Stiftung sollte dringendes gemieden werden. Eigenbedarfskündigungen sind in Berlin bei Wohnung mit Mietern, die schon lange dort wohnen oder tief verwurzelt sind, evtl. sogar Kinder betroffen sind, immens schwierig geworden. Wie kann es sein, dass eine Kita mit fast 60 Kinder aus ihren Räumlichkeiten innerhalb eines Jahres vertrieben werden kann, ohne bei Fristen und sonstige Umstände entgegenzukommen?? Ein politischer, aber auch gesellschaftlicher Skandal!

Leider wurde unsere Annahme, dass der Stiftung das Wohl der Kinder in ihren Schulen wichtig ist, deutlich widerlegt. Die Stiftung will nichts damit zu tun haben, wenn Eltern Probleme mit der Leitung haben und übernehmen keine Verantwortung. Das Einzige was zählt ist das Finanzielle. Probleme werden ignoriert und ausgesessen, auf Emails nicht geantwortet und zur Not werden die Kinder einfach rausgeschmissen. Das Beste Beispiel ist die Deutsch Skandinavische Gemeinschaftsschule, wo auf Elternbriefe nicht reagiert wurde, die forderten, dass Kinder nicht gekündigt werden, weil sich ihre Eltern in der Schulpolitik engagieren. Die Kita Lillebror wurde ebenfalls aus den Räumen gekündigt und wieder wurde auf Bitten der Eltern um Gespräche nicht reagiert. Das Ergebnis ist, dass viele Kinder die Schule verlassen, da aber ein großer Mangel an guten Schulplätzen herrscht stehen immer neue Kinder zur Verfügung die freigewordenen Plätze zu füllen....

Montessori Foundation Berlin is more interested in having solid finances than caring for children, it is quite disappointing. One would think, that their biggest interest are the children, but far from it. One example is the cancellation of rental contract of the Kindergarten Lillebror. The founders of this Kindergarten found the premises, Montessori Stiftung Berlin got the chance to buy the building some years ago, but promised that this Kindergarten can always stay there. And now? Apparantly they forgot their promise, kick out the Kindergarten and want to open a new one. And why? Why destroy a well functioning Kindergarten? Just open a new Kindergarten in different premises!

Die Montessori-Stiftung Berlin hat der Kita Lillebror (Kita meines Kindes) die Mieträume gekündigt, um ein eigenes Kinderhaus ab 01.08.2024 zu öffnen. Nun hat die Kita Lillebror weniger als 1 Jahr Zeit, um neue Kitaräume zu finden, zu gestalten, zu eröffnen - und dies bei der momentanen Lage auf dem Berliner Mietmarkt! Wir sind vor 7 Jahren extra nach Berlin-Mariendorf wegen der Kita Lillebror und ihrem einmaligen Sprach- und Pädagogikkonzept gezogen. Die MSB (Montessori-Stiftung-Berlin) bietet wohl den Kindern einen Platz in ihrem Kinderhaus ab 08/2024 an - das haben wir zumindest aus der Pressemitteilung erfahren, aber weder wurden wir von der Stiftung direkt informiert oder angeschrieben. Es wird allerdings deutlich, dass bisher kein Konzept für das Kinderhaus erarbeitet wurde. Die MSB bittet hier auf ihrer Webseite um Mithilfe durch die Elternschaft - dies ohne je auf uns aktiv zugegangen zu sein. Wie kann man behaupten, dass das Konzept innovativer und am Kind orientierter ist, wenn es noch nicht steht und erst mit Eltern konzipiert werden muss?! Ich sehe hier eindeutig die Gefahr, dass die MSB ab 08/2024 kein volles Betreuungsangebot anbieten kann. Darüberhinaus muss man sich wundern, wie hier mit den Leidtragenden, nämlich unseren Kindern, umgegangen wird. Sie verlieren ihre Freunde, ihre Bezugspersonen und ihren vertrauten Ort - dies alles akzeptiert und unterstützt die Montessori-Stiftung Deutschland unter dem Deckmantel der Montessori-Pädagogik ?! Maria Montessori würde sich im Grabe umdrehen!

I have sadly had a very bad experience with this organization. After canceling our Kitas housing contract, after they promised the kita could stay as long as we wanted after taking over the premises, they have now terminated the contract and expect the Kita to find a new place for around 60 children and staff in the Berlin real estate market (!). They seem to communicate only through lawyers, and with the press of course, and my feeling is they don't care about our children one bit. I would not recommend sending my children to any of their schools or Kita in Berlin.

The Montessori Stiftung Berlin has suddenly cancelled the rental contract of our children's beloved and well-functioning german - scandinavian Kindergarten Lillebror in Berlin. It has given it until end of July to move out. They want to open their own Kitahaus. Unfortunately the rental market in Berlin is extremely difficult, so this could well mean the end of the Kita, disrupting the all-important relationships of the children to their educators and friends. My experience with them, is that the managing board of the foundation is slow in their communication with us parents, and vague in their promises. For example, I have received no guarantee, no contract of a replacement kindergarten place with them. They also communicate via press release, telling the public first about their plans instead of communicating internally with me as a parent first. I'm supposed to trust them with my child, but they can't come to talk face-to-face: the people of the managing board have turned down offers to meet the parents. The board of trustees also has said they do not wish to help out and moderate. I am deeply disappointed in the foundation's behaviour. I do not think that its behaviour reflects the Montessori values that the foundation wants to instil in the children in their kindergartens and schools. The people of the management board don't seem to have my child's best interest at heart. As such I do not recommend that anyone trusts their child into their care, and do not recommend to do business with them.
