The Gower School - Montessori Nursery

An incredible place to provide children with the best start of their developmental journeys. Our children both attended the Gower Nursery School full time from 8 months until they entered reception. Between the two, we experienced most classrooms and many of the teachers and staff across the school. Every experience was outstanding. The baby room provided a nurturing environment for our little ones, who happily went in every day and were in good moods when we collected them. As the kids moved up through the classes, they were encouraged to develop a curiosity and love of learning which has paid dividends in primary school. Every classroom provides a nurturing environment that allows children to develop at their own pace while working independently, collaboratively with other children of varying ages, and with staff. The team makes concerted efforts to celebrate a variety of cultural holidays and customs, to invite parents into the classrooms to participate in their children’s development, and to provide a strong foundation for later learning. The facilities are compact, well maintained and inviting, and classrooms feature changing displays and activities. Each classroom also has access to private outdoor space, and the nursery makes excellent use of a nearby park for forest school and other outdoor activities. The children and their families were all wonderful, with our kids developing quality friendships that have lasted beyond the nursery years, and my partner and I have enjoyed getting to know like-minded parents. We were keen to provide a Montessori experience to our children in their early years, and the Gower Nursery School excelled at this, providing them with a strong foundation for numeracy, literacy, artistic endeavours, cultural curiosity, fine motor skills, and the social skills to thrive as they progress through school. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend the Gower Nursery School to prospective parents.

My daughter attended the Gower School Nursery from 18 months to 4 years, from 2020 to 2023. We adore the school and have been impressed by every room she's been in and every key teacher she's had. Staff are well trained, great communicators and care deeply about the children and the Montessori education. My daughter began to read in her final year there and they really helped foster a love of reading. There is a great community of parents as well. I can't recommend the Gower Nursery more.

We have had two children at The Gower School nursery, the first in 2017 and the other will finish in 2025, and we can recommend it without hesitation. The staff are wonderful and pay attention to each child and clearly understand them well. The Montessori approach promotes a wide range of skills, conceptual learning and independence which is great to see as the children develop. The nursery is proactive in engaging parents so you have a good connection to what your child is doing and plenty of opportunities to see their progress. The facilities are excellent the nursery makes good use of close proximity to the local park.

This is so much more than a nursery! The Gower School creates a truly special environment where children are nurtured, inspired, and encouraged to explore the world around them. The teachers are exceptional, fostering a love of learning from an early age through creative, engaging activities that spark curiosity and confidence. Our little one has attended the Gower nursery since one and she has really flourished here. The level of care is excellent and she has enjoyed her time here.

We chose The Gower Nursery after several positive personal recommendations, and I am so glad we did because it has proven to be an exceptional creative learning environment in wonderful facilities, filled with thriving children. Its greatest assets however are its classroom staff; I could not have hoped for better teachers -- they are compassionate, fun, and extremely competent. I wholeheartedly recommend this nursery.

My daughter has attended TGS nursery during our 1 year stay in London. We absolutely love it! I feel extremely grateful to have TGS as my daughter’s school. What a wonderful teachers, stuffs and friends! After going back to Japan, we feel how great TGS is. It is impossible to find such a nice school here in Japan. Both my daughter and I are missing TGS a lot. Thank you again for giving her such a nice experience!

Both of our children have attended The Gower Nursery from the age of two until school and it has been such a fantastic experience for both of them. The facilities are brilliant for children, with materials constantly being updated and with many outdoor activities and opportunities for getting outside (including a weekly forest school). The teaching staff are the best part about this nursery though: our children have had a second family in their classroom and have been given so much love and support. They have both thrived in the educational environment provided at Gower and my son now attends the primary school which he also loves. We can highly recommend this nursery.

We have two children at the Gower School. Our first son has been there for two years and our second son just completed two most amazing years at the Gower Nursery, before recently starting at the school. We can't speak highly enough of both the nursery and the school. Our sons have grown in confidence and are happy children who have made great friends and grown fond of their teachers and learning. In terms of teaching, the children are provided with an excellent all round experience and we are delighted with their progress in a nurturing environment. This is reflected in the children who are confident, well rounded and enthusiastic learners. The school has great extracurricular activities including tennis, swimming, music, art etc. The after school clubs are well organised and filled with wonderful opportunities. We love being part of the school because it truly feels like family. We have met some wonderful people through the school who we would now call close friends. I couldn’t speak more highly about this amazing nursery. The teachers are wonderful and my daughter gained so much confidence and so many skills from being there. I was always kept up to date on her progress and they would regularly make cards and gifts for her to bring some.
