In case you do not wish to read this review fully, let me start by saying I can't reccomend Saul Montessori Preschool enough. We chose this preschool after viewing 16 different nursery settings within Gloucestershire. Once we'd decided this was the place for us, we were told we could pop in as many times as we felt necessary before our start date, to join in and become familiar with it together. Additionally, before starting, I was asked how I would like to settle my Son in. Words used were something like, "In terms of getting him started and having you leave him, as his Mum, how do you think he will best settle in?". I was mind blown! Not one other setting wanted to know what I thought the best approach for my child would be. The understanding and willingness to listen (and then accommodate) what I thought was immensely reassuring and built a sense of trust immediately. My little boy started here 1 year ago, (when he was 2). He LOVES it!!! From the first day, the care and awareness I have seen for each and every child has been phenomenal. From the basics like getting to know your childs personality, their abilities, interests, preferences and confidence. Right to the 'trickier to navigate' areas, such as gaining a more in depth knowledge of where your child can struggle and exploring possibilities why, forward planning to help them/enable smooth progression in some way, all along with emotional understanding and support. So not only has my Son got teachers striving to promote his independence whilst teaching immeasurable new life, social and academic skills. He has also got a support network of adults who listen to him, so he can trust and ask for help when he is finding things hard in some way. He has caregivers who can see him and his needs (often before he has realised for himself). He has cheerleaders in every single one of them, encouraging him and giving their everything to help him achieve his goals. He has friends in them because, child or grown up, they will get stuck in and have a giggle. My Son loves prechool. In fact, half terms and holidays are the issue for us. The strides he has taken as a little person, in his learning, his self confidence, his physical abilities, his social skills, is beyond what I could have hoped for. 10/10 from us. We couldn't be happier.
