Montessori on the Park

My child is always sick here the waiting list is also ridiculous, I finally got a place after a year and half constantly chasing up, I think they pick who they want for this nursery because if I didn’t chase I don’t know if I’d have been give a place. I really regret bringing my child here the place is overcrowded with kids. Every week my little one is out with sickness and my child doesn’t eat well, anytime I try to bring this matter up they say its not there responsibility to make sure there your child is well fed I’m so very confused, do you not encourage children to eat? My husband found the nursery and proceeded with registration and was positive about this whole experience, but constantly calling to get a place only to be let down by poor childcare is such a disappointment we are currently looking for another nursery.

My daughter attending this Montessori for back-up care whilst her childminder was off and it was a wonderful experience . The staff were great with settling her in to her new surroundings and she was excited to go back! During her brief visit, she went to the park with the other children and had lots of fun. We couldn't be happier with this nursery, from wonderful and caring staff to the activities and lovely location. Our son absolutely loves to go there!

MOTP is a lovely little nursery, with kind staff members and it has provided my child with quality education. I'm very impressed with how my child has thrived and how happy she is!

My experience with Montessori on the Park has not been a positive one. Despite many warnings from other mother's about their ridiculous waiting list policy of a non-refundable £50, we decided to go ahead and book a tour in June 2018 anyway. On the positive the tour was well conducted and the space for the children nice enough (although nothing special). We decided to put our names (and £50) down for our daughter who was arriving the following month for a place when I go back to work in July 2019 (12 months later). In March 2019, I started asking about an update on a place via email. Each time I emailed, the manager Lenka would promise to get back to me later in the week, however I would get no update. This happened a few more times over the coming months until I decided to call them. Calling the office is not a straightforward process as it is not often picked up, however when I did finally get through I was told someone would get back to me with an update and I am still waiting. Needless to say I have never got the update via email or a call back and I don't expect it anymore at this stage. I am glad to say that we have secured our daughter in an amazing new nursery on the other side of the park. No other nursery we encountered in our search has this ridiculous non refundable fee policy, which in my opinion should not be allowed in the industry. It is preying on parents who are desperate to find a nursery space for their child and especially in the case of this organisation, it is daylight robbery when you never hear from them again. I would also point out that at no point did they say that their waiting list is closed or over subscribed. A wholly unprofessional place that I would recommend you steer clear of.

My 2 children attended the nursery between 2012 - 2018. We were always very happy about the staff, the Montessori approach to education and the proximity to the park. Last year the nursery changed its owner. Let's see if the new one keeps this positive attitude ?

Montessori on the Park is such a wonderful nursery. All the staff are amazing, very caring and professional. This September our daughter will go to reception and we feel she is well prepared. We would definitely recommend this nursery to all our friends.
