Unfortunately this is not a good place to study if you are likely to have any sort of additional support need during your studies. I was raising a severely disabled child on my own whilst studying. At a point during my studies the pressure of studying and caring was too much and I needed time off due to stress. I was told I could have a year long deferral. After this I completed all the pre-placement coursework for my qualification. I then completed the placement and in-work assessments. However, I had a few months to complete paperwork detailing the work I had done on placement. Unfortunately I became very unwell with a serious autoimmune illness during this time. I didn’t have a diagnosis at the time but they were aware I was not well. They said I could not receive any more time off due to the original deferral. I had passed 12 out the 13 NCFE accredited units, but since I did not complete the last unit within the original registration period I was essentially told “too bad, goodbye” and I graduated with a lower, unrated qualification which is not recognised for practice. Unfortunately, despite the whole qualification being NCFE credit rated and split up into 13 units, they did not submit my work so that I could receive any recognised credit for the work/units I had done. Meaning that I could not use the 1208 hours of work I had completed for anything. Those hours are useless in terms of counting in staff ratios, registration for work or for RPL. I wasted a lot of money and they were not at all sympathetic at the end. It is illegal to fail to make reasonable adjustments to support the participation of students with additional needs in the U.K. Study somewhere else where you will get credit rated certification of all stages of your qualification, even if you do not complete the whole award due to circumstances beyond your control.
My Opinion
I would give them -1 if I could! Avoid this place!

I studied at this collage 10 years ago. I was told that I would leave with a level 5 internationally recognised qualification. I did really well in my studies and got a merit. The sad thing is that it is not an internationally recognised qualification and I have had to re-do this course in my home country. When I emailed the collage for support and answers I received none.

Avoid this organisation. This is my second time posting a one star review, unfortunately I can't give them zero. They have removed all the reviews and started again. Don't do your Montessori training with them. They will not support you whilst studying. They just want your money. Negative Quality, Professionalism, Value
