Mandarin Ducklings Bilingual Montessori Nursery Putney Bridge

I rarely share reviews but when I was looking for a nursery for our daughter it was one of the feedback sources so sharing for parents who are looking for nursery. Our daughter is with Mandarin Ducklings for more than a year 5 days per week full time and I couldn’t be more happy about this choice. She looks forward in the morning to see her care giver and friends, tells us with excitement about all adventures, plays, art and sport activities she had. We receive detailed update on her day through the nursery app, we see the delicious food prepared for the kids. I have some background in nutrition and the food is served is full of nutrients and variety, our daughter in 80% of cases asks for second serving. The staff is attentive to details, creative and very caring. If you look for a place for your child to develop in a nurturing environment this is the place.

Our son has been going to this nursery for a year now, starting from 1 years old. My partner and I think this nursery is fantastic. The care they give and the effort they put into our son's early childhood education really shows. Our son loves going to nursery and has good relationships with his teachers. There are two outdoor areas, and the kids get plenty of playtime outside, even when the weather isn't so good. My main reason initially for picking this nursery, because it's not our local, is that it is a bilingual nursery. However, now we are very glad we chose Mandarin Ducklings Putney Bridge because of all the care and learning he receives. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone considering.

My child has been attending this nursery for over 5 months now and we had a great initial feeling about this nursery when we first walked in and still do! The staff are attentive to your child’s needs and will work closely with you to provide what is needed for them. They also provide good feedback and observations on how your child is doing during the day and ways to help them learn and grow outside of nursery. In addition to being a bilingual nursery with mandarin, additional learning initiatives are introduced such as promoting good teeth brushing as well as European language. The app that they use is also very good for providing daily updates of activities being carried out, logging leave, recording the meals being eaten and in any other updates about your child and news about the nursery. The food is freshly cooked on site so you know your child is eating well. The nursery also has a very large outdoor space for the children that is well away from any roads making it a much calmer, quieter environment for them to play in. Overall a fantastic nursery that I would highly recommend.

I cannot stress how happy we are to have found Mandarin Ducklins - and I speak also on behalf of my daughter who absolutely LOVES her nursery and her teachers! I was first drawn to the nursery because I definitely wanted one with a second language, and how is it not useful to know Mandarin in this day and age? I thought it’d be fun for my baby to learn this from her early years. Beyond that, the photos looked like it was a beautiful place, so I booked a visit. My first impression was that it was exactly what you saw online - unlike other nurseries I had visited prior which were underwhelming and quite a disappointment when you actually saw them in real life. Beyond that, I had a very nice conversation with the then Manager and the chef. Since our daughter started going almost a year ago, though, I realized that the biggest asset was definitely the staff. I cannot thank everyone enough for the care, dedication and LOVE they genuinely show for the kids every day. My daughter has been thrilled from Day 1, and is constantly found chanting her teachers’ names (she has even once called for one on her sleep!) Aside from the incredible staff, the food the children are served is delicious, varied, and nutritious (and I have to say I have wondered if they’d let me enroll for the food, too 😂); they do many activities - crafts, yoga, lots of music, cooking - and have an enviable outdoor space where children explore nature. I have caught my girl blurting things in Mandarin too, and they are now introducing Spanish as well. The nursery also organizes activities throughout the year so that parents share with their children and meet each other to build a community. I couldn’t recommend the nursery enough and I just want to say a big THANK YOU to Maggie, Ivy, Sacha, Julia, Meriem, Cece, Felipe, Maria and all the wonderful staff that make it such a special place for our kids.

This nursery is a rare find and one of a kind in this area of London. It can be very overwhelming to choose a nursery for your little one especially when there are so many. However, when I first visited Mandarin Ducklings on the tour I instantly felt calm and at ease and was taken aback by how happy and playful the children were. My son was initially in another nursery which was much closer to our home but I decided it was worth changing him to Mandarin Ducklings and travelling the extra distance there. All the staff are very nurturing and child led and work together with parents. There is good staff to Child ratios. The outside space is incredible especially for London. My son is very happy since going and always comes home and talks about his friends and teachers. They have been very supportive with the potty training process too. I always recommend mandarin ducklings when asked & I am grateful for all the care and learning my son gets. 🧡

This is such an incredible nursery and our 2 year old boy who attends for 3 mornings a week could not be happier. All the staff are so very kind, caring, nurturing and attentive. Everyone truly does everything to understand your child to help them flourish and thrive in a safe, secure environment. The staff are so diverse and skilled that each one brings a difference offering. Our son has also started speaking a little Mandarin at home. The chef is an expert in nutrition and creates beautiful food to really support the development of the children. For a nursery in London, the outdoor space is just beautiful. Purpose built and immersive, the children enjoy the outdoor greenery and nature everyday for play, as well as learning, which was very important to us. Mandarin Ducklings is a real secret find and we are so happy because our son is so happy.

A truly wonderful and happy nursery! A fantastic mix of Montessori learning with heaps of outside time & Forest School activities. Each day is different from yoga, baking and planting seeds to acting, football…even hatching and releasing butterfly’s! Creatively, fun and kindness feel at the heart of Mandarin Duckings. There is lots of delicious and healthy homemade food each day. Our boys have fun and fulfilled days, learning with kind and experienced staff. Thank you to all the team at Mandarin Duckings 🐥

Our daughter has attended Mandarin Ducklings since she was one year old. She loves going to the nursery every single day! The teachers, the chef and the staff are very friendly and attentive. They care about the wellbeing and the development of the children. Because of work and family commitments, we have travelled abroad several times, and we feel very supported by the team. They offer lots of different indoor and outdoor activities: the forest school, outdoor playtime (plenty), Thursday football session, languages learning, music, etc. Our little one has learned and developed a lot. It is lovely to see how much fun she has from the daily photos and observations they share.

Mandarin Ducklings Nursery has been amazing for our family! The staff create such a warm and nurturing environment that our son loves. The variety is fantastic, with lots of different activities to keep the children engaged. The forest activities are a big hit – our child loves exploring and learning in nature. Plus, the Thursday football club in association with Fulham FC is a great addition. Overall, Mandarin Ducklings Nursery offers a wonderful, well-rounded experience that we highly recommend to any parent!
