Bright Horizons East Barnet Day Nursery & Preschool

We are extremely pleased with this nursery. All the staff are attentive to my daughter’s needs and have provided so much care and love. She is always excited to go to nursery and we are so grateful for the amazing staff that look after her. Definitely recommend!!!

Absolutely the best nursery! Putting your child into nursery is a scary and big decision so finding the right place can be daunting (especially with young children that don’t yet speak). From day one, we’ve had a great service from this team! My son initially had difficulty with us leaving him and there was a lot of tears but within weeks, things improved and he now loves going into nursery. The app they have is great for letting us know what and how much he ate, how long he napped, and fun photos from the day. I can’t recommend this place enough and I’m so grateful we found this place. Big thank you to the whole team, especially Natalia as she eased our son into getting comfortable and settling in. The nursery also does great activities and seasonal events and the team is so creative, definitely have a look at their instagram page! I think the nursery and the team definitely deserve to be classified as outstanding, having visited many outstanding nurseries before joining this one, this one is by far better in every possible way!

From 9 months old my son has received the best of care. I have had low days as a new mum and I have also received support from staff members. This is a second home for my child where he receives care, cuddles and love. I've always been able to get questions answered such as matching routines, recreating activities and similar toys at home, dealing with behaviour etc. I can't speak highly enough about how I feel content knowing my son is cared for by his nursery aunties and uncles ❤️

My baby got pinched for the second day in a row by probably the same baby. The nursery puts it down to exploration which lets them off the hook from actually addressing the issue of taking care of my child. I’m beyond upset. It’s expensive to pay for childcare as we all know and here we are at this moment in time where I’m being called the next day for the same issue as the previous day. They somehow allowed the same problematic child next to my baby. They are making excuses for this happening again and downplaying the event by saying my child is alright. No, he’s not alright.

Our daughter has been attending BH for 3 years and has loved it from her first day. Starting in Toddler 1, moving up through Toddler 2 and now into Preschool, she has loved all of her keyworkers as well as the other teaching staff, management and the cook - as do my wife and I. The food provided is outstanding in terms of variety and nutrition, working on a 15-day menu that is updated seasonally (dishes include jambalaya, Thai curry, bolgnese with garlic bread, with several fruit and veg portions every day). Our friends are all impressed with the diet provided when compared to the nurseries their children attend. The opening hours are also great, from 7.30am to 6.30pm, Mon to Fri. Again, better than most nurseries offer. They also have a large garden segregated into age appropriate areas, and the kids spend a lot of time outdoors, including weekly PE classes. Our daughter will be going to primary school in a few weeks and this nursery has helped provide her with the necessary skills to make that transition. She knows her alphabet, writes letters and numbers well, and can count to over 100, she's learned to bake (every Tuesday!), she's learning Greek (every Wednesday), she has gained the confidence to present topics to her peers (show & tell every Thursday), and has even been taught some sign language. I would definitely recommend Bright Horizons East Barnet. Even if the food or garden don't interest you, you won't find a more caring group of nursery teachers who will treat your child/children like their own family.

My daughter attends this nursery the staff are all so competent and very friendly the team feel like one big family. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nursery for there child.

Such a lovely setting, took my 2yo for a show around a few weeks ago, she loved it! Having moved down from up north and many show rounds, this nursery is by far the loveliest. Look forward to seeing you all in 2024!!

This nursery went above and beyond for my child! They’re so caring and have my little girls best interests at heart at all times! Charlene is especially attentive to my little girl reaching her milestones! Thank you all for your hard work
