No clue what the previous reviewers were drinking but my children are mixed race and from a multilingual background and we have never had any issues with getting a place or with bad treatment. The nursery has always been very accommodating - we went from two days to three to four down to two again. No issues ever. In my daughter’s group lots of diversity- more than in her primary, sadly, which I believe is a reason why she thrived- there were other children who looked like her who were happy. Great team as well, great SENCO (son had some stammering issues an intervention was immediately put in place with home support).

Best decision I made was sending my kids to Bright horizons.

Having paid a registration fee and agreed one day a week - they then changed this to 2 day minimum fee - even though we had paid and signed up! So we would have had to pay for days we don’t need! I have very luckily found alternative childcare and they agreed to refund my registration fee 3 weeks ago - I’m still chasing this refund now!!!! Hasn’t even been processed…. Honestly the worst service ever, messed me about and I’ve had to email multiple times to sort. I’d absolutely avoid this nursery. Nothing but trouble since we signed up.

Personal experience here. With nurseries closing down, they will hold open days, tpurs and all sorts and gather as many applicants to the nursery and if your little one has special needs or is not native British talker, as llergies or even of different color. Most likely you wont get that spot in their nursery. They will try to be nice about it and stall your application as much as they can. Mine went on for 5 weeks of stalling and trying to keep asking them what was holding up as my form was in. Only to tell you at the end they cant accept your little one. I understand if they would not welcome some kids but a bit of clarity instead of wasting parents' precious time would be a better approach. Because in those 5 weeks, I could have found a proper nursery insteadbof being kept waiting for all sorts of silly excuses. I expected better.

Both of my children have attended this nursery, my daughter back when it was Asquith and now my son attends Bright Horizons. Both started as babies, with my daughter going through to preschool (my son is now in toddlers). I’ve had an excellent experience in the main. The staff have mainly been fantastic with standout care from Lisa, Jane, Claire, Anita and Tara (to name a few). The facilities are clean and well maintained, with the garden area previously needing some attention but lately looking much smarter. Another notable positive is that now nappies, wipes, formula, barrier cream and sun cream is provided by the nursery (previously they had to be supplied by parents). My biggest gripe is the huge increase in fees over the last few years. I now pay over £150 a month more than I did for the same number of sessions when my daughter attended. This is in the region of a 25% increase which seems too high. I might be being cynical but it seems that the discount we now receive through the tax free childcare scheme has perhaps been used as a mechanism to increase fees so much. In summary I have been very happy with the quality of care my children have received (in the main) and whilst the costs are difficult to manage at times, my kids have both loved it so much there that feels like it is worth it.
