Apple Tree Montessori Forest School | Clayton

We have been very happy with our experience at Apple Tree, where our daughter attended from age 2 until her transition to Reception. From day one, the wonderful staff helped her settle in, making her first time away from home a positive experience. Thanks to their care and support, her confidence and independence have grown immensely over the past couple of years. The variety of activities, especially those fostering a love for the outdoors, has been very impactful and our daughter now has a passion for nature and exploring, thanks in part to the nursery’s forest school ethos. We feel very fortunate to have been part of such a supportive community and we’re confident the foundation laid at Apple Tree will help her thrive in school. Thank you Tracey and team for being such an important part of her early years!

I would give 6 stars if I could. Apple Tree despite its humble setting is a top rate nursery and pre school which I recommend without any level of hesitation. The staff are incredibly committed and the children thrive. Tracey and her team have been nothing short of a god send, they are a community that exude warmth, kindness and positivity. Do not be put off by the humble set up, ‘this place has heart’!

The staff are incredible and so supportive. Our daughter has grown in confidence so much since joining. We recommend it to everyone as an amazing preschool and are so happy we sent her here!!

Appletree is such a nurturing and caring nursery. My daughter attended the nursery after moving from Ukraine. They were so supportive and helped her settle easily. She has learnt so many skills, alongside learning English. They provide wonderful activities that help the children learn new skills through play, the staff help support each child and their families as much as they can. I cannot recommend this nursery enough. Thanks

We love Appletree, the setting is brilliant, there is so much for the children to learn from. The teachers including class leader Tracey are absolutely brilliant, they are caring, kind, and teach the kids so much. Our eldest went to Apple tree and in just one year developed so much. Our second is now at Appletree and he loves it, and in just a short time has developed so much. We also found they worked closely with the local infant school on the transition from pre school to school, making this period very settled for our eldest. Cannot recommend the setting enough.

Tracey and her team have been brilliant with my son (and me!) who took some time to settle in when he first started. He enjoys the outdoor area and the different activities they do everyday. He has become so much more confident and independent since starting at Apple Tree.

We’re approaching the end of my son’s time at Appletree as he will be going off to school this year and I could not have wished for a better Nursery experience for him. We wanted a Nursery that felt nurturing, supportive and a place where he would thrive and we’ve received all of that and more. Tracey, the Nursery Manager, is absolutely fantastic and is so much more than a manager, she always makes herself available to answer questions and offer advice. Actually all of the staff have been fantastic and my son adores them all. It’s been such a pleasure seeing him grow and develop and without doubt the staff at Appletree have played a huge part in that and preparing him for school. I don’t know who will be more sad to see him leave - him or me!

Simply an outstanding nursery. Smaller class size and attentitive, well experienced staff who clearly enjoy working together and with the children. My little boy has grown in confidence since his time with Apple Tree and has made some lovely friends. Such a unique setting with plenty of outdoor activities, regardless of the weather. The staff are very supportive, and because of the high ratio of teachers to children they have the time to provide quality care. Highly recommended.

Staff are fantastic.

Nicky went to Apple Tree Montessori nursery in Clayton since its opening in 2020 and it was the only nursery he went to. The nursery is located in a very nice rural place right next to the recreational grounds. Nicky was surrounded by very friendly, caring and professional team who helped Nicky navigating through the initial set in and getting used to staying in a new environment. In the nursery Nicky made friends, developed social skills and improved his self-confidence. Nicky made a good progress communicating and expressing himself in English which is effectively his second language. The nursery team worked with professionalism and creativity designing and delivering a wide range of educational and development activities and fun games. We are very grateful to all current and former nursery managers and team members who always did their best accommodating any changes in our time-table. Thank you very much Apple Tree! Nicky is leaving the nursery soon to make his new step in his life, and will definitely miss you all. Positive Responsiveness, Quality, Professionalism
