Humberside Montessori School

Our son has been attending the Casa program entering his 3rd year now. He has progressed and learned so much! The consistency in teaching and support has been invaluable and challenges were addressed as a system, through parents, teachers, support staff and administrators. We have been impressed with their cohesive team work and kind approach.

Attended this school for 8 years - from lower elementary (grade 1) to the adolescent program (grade 8) - and truly couldn't recommend it more. All the teachers are so passionate about teaching the Montessori pedagogy. The school really values independence, allowing kids to gain skills that are incredibly beneficial later in life, not only in further education. The school, combined with the Montessori teaching, provides an incredible foundation for learning throughout the rest of your life, ensuring not only to teach children the necessary skills, but teach them how to learn and being an active part of the learning process. All the staff make the schooling experience incredible as they form a really tight knit, caring community.

We started at HMS in September 2023. From very early on we were impressed by the facilities and the level of staff commitment to building an engaging and safe environment for the kids. The teachers at this school are truly exceptional and are dedicated to promoting learning. We registered our second child to start in September 2024.

We have had the best experience at Humberside Montessori, the care is exceptional. It’s a wonderful community for little children. My daughter has been in CASA A for 2 years and she is thriving. Loves her teachers and friends!

HMS is absolutely the best. My daughter just completed the Casa program, and I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. Her teacher and all of the staff (aftercare, admin, etc) all care for the kids so much, and it's obvious by how much the kids love them. As parents, the school helps us in every way possible, and I often wonder how I'd run my household without them.

Really great accredited AMI school focused on the Montessori pedagogy. It's worked amazing for our two kids (Casa and Elementary programs) with a focus on hands-on experiential learning. A welcoming and engaged parent community invested in the children and school. Would highly recommend for elementary and pre-elementary programs!

Humberside offers top-notch Montessori education, being one of the very few true AMI-certified schools. Our two kids started at Elementary and Casa (3-6 yr program) last year. So far, we've been impressed not only by their progress in academic and socio/emotional aspects, but also by the good habits instilled upon them through the teachers and the Montessori environment (such as courtesy, caring for their belongings, journaling etc.). In addition, the school staff goes above and beyond to support the families (e.g. flexible after school care, complimentary childcare during parent workshop/parent teacher interviews). We are also very appreciative of the active parent community, who organized fun family events that bring the school closer. Highly recommend taking a tour for those in search of a school!
