Kalker Montessori Centre

My daughter has attended Kalker Montessori Centre for the past three years and we have loved it. I had been looking for a genuine Montessori environment that would provide a nurturing space to foster her independence and extend her development. Our experience has been just that and so much more. The teachers are caring, dedicated and go above and beyond.

I have first hand experience of Kalker with my 3rd child (a boy) attending their 3yo and 4yo kinder education and childcare program. My older two kids were pre-schooled at other kinders, one of which was another Montessori, so I speak from some experience and perspective on early education and childcare. The level of care and professionalism at Kalker is at the highest level. Their fees may not be the lowest around, but they are certainly worth it if you value your child being educated and thriving to the best of their potential, not just being looked after. Do your own research about the Montessori methods - they are delivered well at Kalker, as they've been doing this for decades. Communication and engagement is very good, with weekly email updates specific to your child's class, and an active community of like-minded parents. Highly recommended.

Kalker Montessori has been an absolute blessing in our lives since being able to enrol our daughter in 2023. Being a Montessorian myself I had very high expectations of what I looked for within a Montessori environment in terms of the environment, staff and care that would be provided. Kalker has met those expectations beyond what I hoped for. The most notable aspect are the well educated, kind and devoted staff. Knowing your child is in safe hands is the highest need of any parent. At Kalker Montessori we found the Principal and teachers to be understanding of each child’s needs while catering to their development through an individual and personal approach. Our daughter is happy, knowledgeable and content, her needs being met and satisfied. All the classrooms are very well equipped with the required Montessori materials while the garden is spacious not just for playing but also overflowing with flowers and veggie patches that the children tend to themselves! The care programme that runs after sessions is like no other. Having experienced the daycare system, walking into a Kalker care programme session is truly relieving! A nurturing environment with lots of fun and well planned out activities continues for the children who opt for an extended stay within the centre. Convincing your child to leave at the end of the day becomes quite a task, as they do not want to leave:) Thank you Kalker Montessori for a secure, thriving, disciplined and wholesome early childhood experience for our little girl. As parents we do not want this experience to end for her. Hats off to you for the commendable and excellent service. It is much appreciated.

Wanted to share what a wonderful place the Kalker Montessori centre is to send my children for their preschool years. Its exceptional teachers and program, along with its wonderful learning environment has provided them with the best start to their education journey. With my first born already completing the program and second due to finish at the end of this year, I have always felt completely confidant and comfortable leaving them in the attentive care of their classroom teachers. The centre provides a safe and nurturing environment for them to learn and explore, which is just as important to me as the learning itself. I cannot recommend this centre and it’s teachers highly enough.

Both of my children went through the Kalker Montessori program from early learners. They thrived in the program. It is an amazing community of parents, teachers and staff. Communication with parents is really good, with all concerns about the children listened to with compassion, and parents are always invited to participate as much as possible with kinder events and with other parents. Developments of the children are celebrated every step of the way, and they also gain a sense of family in their classroom with their teachers and classmates. There is definitely a sense of community, joy and love within the centre. I toured other Montessori centres before visiting Kalker, and it blew me away. The Montessori philosophy allows the child to shine, and ignites within them their own capabilities which may otherwise be suppressed. My children had the blessing of such a great start to their schooling, and I could not be more grateful to each and every teacher and staff member at Kalker Montessori for being a light in their lives. I have recommended many others and will continue to do so!
