IMCH is a Montessori-based centre that exceeds all expectations. The educators are not only passionate but also incredibly skilled in fostering independence and curiosity in the children. It's clear they love what they do, and the environment they create is warm and inviting. The administrative staff is equally impressive. They are always responsive, organized, and genuinely care about the families. Any questions or concerns are addressed promptly and thoughtfully. Overall, IMCH has created a wonderful community where children thrive.

We had our son at Goodstart witton road where he was very happy for 4 years but then after starting kindy early and needing more outdoor space (he was getting a bit bored) we moved him to Montessori. Have to say we haven’t enjoyed it at all and feel his learning and development have gone backwards since he started there. There’s very little communication about what they are learning and how their development is progressing. The “guides” / educators don’t engage really at all with us as his parents (I struggle to get a hello) and they give no feedback about how his day was, what he learnt. They don’t manage conflict between children and when our son came home upset from fights with other kids or big bumps or bruises there was no information given on what happened. We were told our son would get some 1 on 1 learning time with the educators each week or be able to participate in the group programme work. Haven’t seen anything regarding this and the group work is a lot of art and craft vs anything practical to help him prepare for school. Then there’s the centre itself - beautiful inside and outside, lots for the kids, incredible outdoor space and love that he plays in the dirt and in the wilderness as kids should. But for parents it’s a nightmare for pick up and drop offs. Theres so many kids attending the centre and only a small amount of car parks so you queue every day to wait for a park. Then the drop off because of where you have to take them and everything you have to unpack takes ages. Because you feel so pressured to drop off quickly you never feel able to stop and engage with anyone including staff or other parents. It’s a polar opposite experience to Goodstart witton road where he was absolutely loved and cared for like they were the educators own children and he learnt so much every day. He came home with pages of his work both learning and art and we had Storypark updates at least once a week so we could ask him about his day. Super disappointing experience and I would say the only drawcard the centre has is its outdoor space and play areas. When you compare the staff, the learning and development and the sense of community and support - Goodstart was a much better daycare and kindy.

Professional, friendly staff with so much heart, a caring mindset that also go above and beyond everyday. It’s wonderful seeing the teachers and staff make an effort to engage with the kids and develop them in a very individualised manner. The management and administration staff are truely committed to providing a safe, fun and loving environment and all should be commended!!! Always great to see smiling faces as I enter the premises. A truly amazing place and defiantly deserve the prestigious rating of ACECQA centre of Excellence for children

Dissapointed with the attitude of 2 staff members in administration, one of which is in management. My raising of safety and security concerns also seems to have fallen on deaf ears. I also feel misled by how an internal complaint was handled. There is definitely room for improvement. Google search "Edmund Rice Education St Kevins" which manages IMCH.

One word to describe this place, "PERFECT". Thank you Carmel and all the educators.
