Donvale Montessori (MEEC)

We loved our time here. My little still recalls core memories from his favourite school. Vicky and Karina were his teachers, and they created such a beautiful, precious space that he was so secure and thrived in. The encouragement and freedom of exploration that the Montessori method gave him, has really equipped him beyond the classroom. Even more so, it has given me as a parent, tools to help him continue his journey and support the both of us as we learn. There was always communication, they always took the time to talk to us and share his learning. We’ve also met other likeminded parents who have become family to us! Thank you for showing us what Montessori really is, and for being so wonderful. I highly recommend this school.

We’ve had the pleasure of being part of the Donvale Montessori community for the past four years, enrolling our daughter in the early starters program and continuing through Cycle 1. The experience has been nothing short of remarkable. The staff and teachers at Donvale Montessori are exceptional in both experience and dedication. They bring a deep understanding of the Montessori philosophy and are incredibly committed to nurturing each child’s unique potential. This structured and well-established teaching philosophy has made a visible difference in my daughter’s development, allowing her to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. What stands out most is the genuine care and dedication of the entire school community. The staff go above and beyond to create a nurturing environment that fosters curiosity, independence, and a love for learning. It’s clear that everyone involved is passionate about the growth and well-being of the children. I’ve been consistently impressed by the progress my daughter has made during her time here. The Montessori program truly supports her in becoming confident, capable, and eager to explore the world around her. Just a fantastic centre! Our 2yr old started attending the Early Starters program earlier this year and he’s just having the best time! We initially started with the morning program (8.30-11am) but have transitioned him to the full day (finishes at 3pm). The classes are great! The teachers are so caring and friendly and you can see how much they love their jobs. He has developed such a lovely connection with all the staff that he is excited to go every morning. He knows he will be spending the day with people he likes and having a good time - that really makes a difference. The staff have all had such a positive influence on our toddler - his language, understanding, socialising and even his ability to focus has grown so much over the last few months. We love the early starters class because they learn through play. There is structure to his day but also freedom to guide his own learning. As parents, we are slowly growing an Early Starters community together where we make lasting friendships as our children grow. We love the Montessori philosophy and will be continuing his learning through Donvale as he’s ready for 3 & 4yr old kinder. If you are looking for a child and family centred learning facility for your young child, where they focus on learning through kindness, respect and play - Donvale Montessori is for you!

My daughter has been going to this centre for almost 2 years now and the teachers are very attentive and take their time to help each child settle in. My daughter came home with so many things to share from her class. Thank you to Vicky, Karina, Cherie and Fiona for your wonderful work. We are so blessed to have such a great school with passionate teachers in our community.

Small school with great community vibe. Educators are genuinely caring. My child has been there since she was 2.5yrs old. She loves her friends and educator. They focus on independent learning with a structured Montessori program. Current principle Vicky has been an active member of this school for over 20 years, very experienced and the kids love her. Highly recommended.
