Both of my children are at Avenues and I cannot speak of the Center highly enough. My 2 year old loves it so much and I can see the love the educators have for her. It relieves the mother’s guilt so much knowing she is loved and cared for. My 5 year old son has type 1 diabetes and has been there for a couple of years. The educators and management have gone above and beyond with their care for him. He is safe, loved, and the staff are trained and knowledgeable. I feel very fortunate for finding such an excellent centre.

We’ve been attending this centre for the last two years and could not be happier with the service. We chose the centre based on recommendations from friends who said they could really see the benefit of the educational focus on their children (their kids were actively learning through play). The effort and planning the educators put into the integration of learning in play is astonishing. They are delivering at a quality one could expect of a school, if not higher. The daily reports outline all the wonderful learning they do together and the evidence-base underlining the activities. To be clear, the educational focus is complimentary to the significant free play the kids engage in - the kids are not treated as students, they get to run around and fill their shoes with sand openly. The management and admin team are brilliant - they have ALWAYS had time for us and take the time to answer any questions. We feel like we’re not just a number in their cohort but a valued part of the community. What really stood out to me was when we attended the open day last year (to support the team) we moved through the levels and staff we hadn’t met yet all knew our son’s name. Something we really value is how seriously they take health, which has been especially noticeable this last winter when every other family in our lives have had back to back sickness. We have had maybe 5 sick days across the entire 2 years we’ve been there. For a family that up until recently didn’t have the privilege of sick leave this was hugely impactful to our ability to keep a stable income. The centre has a high standard and parents respect it. Conversations with other parents at other centres make it clear that other centres are lacks, the parents push the boundaries and “the green stream” and constant roller coaster of sickness are de rigueur. That is not the case with our centre and we are so grateful. The centres is clean, well equipped and the kids are nourished, stimulated and very well cared for. Our son is happy, healthy and feels like he belongs. We hear plenty of stories about other centres so we feel really lucky to not have a single concern about the place we leave our precious little boy.

I’ve been frequenting this day care centre as an extracurricular provider for nearly 10 months now and I’ve had such a pleasant overall experience. The staff are wonderful and welcoming, the kids are all really well-behaved and are well cared for, and the centre itself is really lovely, bright and airy. I’d definitely send my kids here in future.

We are a local family with two kids who have attended Avenues in Paddington since it opened 5.5 years ago. The facilities are great, the building is nice and secure, and the on-site kitchen provides the kids with healthy food. Both my wife and I have busy jobs and access to long day care (even for the kindy class) is so important. As busy parents, we recognise that day care is a massive part of our kids' life and like their family. We are very grateful. From a background in health care, I can say the centre approached the challenges to COVID in a reasonable and professional matter. They remained open throughout, but maintained additional precautions to keep the kids and staff as safe as possible. It hasn't been easy for our youngest who has a developmental delay, but the educators and management staff have worked with us and helped with inclusion support and strategies to assist. Speaking to parents with special needs in other centres, they have not always received as much support. The staff turnover has been relatively low, which is really important for consistency for the kids. Our youngest child has been fortunate that his favourite educator has been with him going into the third year now. This is probably unusual for most places, but has helped him immensely. We are very happy with Paddington Avenues.

We have lived in this area on and off for the past 5 years and our two children have attended Avenues throughout that time. This is such a well run centre. Kim is a wonderful Director and the people that work alongside her are fabulous. The educators really do go out of their way to greet you each morning and get to know you. This makes drop off so much easier (especially when there are tears) because, despite the parental guilt you leave knowing your children are in great hands, and being cuddled by kind and caring educators. It really does feel homely, the food is also amazing (Zita the chef does a wonderful job). On top of all of that - the facilities are outstanding. We have been so spoiled. We are currently in the process of moving out of Brisbane and I am finding it so hard to find a new daycare that measures up to this one. Positive Communication, Quality, Professionalism, Value
